We finally got to see a bit more of the Fire Nation, the dancing was cute (and Katara being jealous and nervous was funny). We get to see Aang's post-death personality/confidence upgrade, and one of the coolest villains is introduced. And yeah, they draw Katara differently in season 3. In fact I think the animation as a whole gets a bit of an upgrade, especially later on. The show REALLY hits its stride in every way. It's probably why I rewatch this season more than the others.
