Tarloc said "Amon truly believes that bending is the root of all Evil" that is why he's taking bending away from people.

2021-05-27 17:05:02 +0000 UTCThey don't ever really explain it well or more other than "so he somehow uses bloodbending!" but the creators explained it a bit more. Think back to the chakras and the Guru in Atla. Basically Amon is blocking those certain chakra points that connects a person to their bending element. Pretty insane capability of bloodbending (Just an FYI)
