Delay for El Camino

I will give it a try again. So many smart wonderful people can't be all wrong. There is something I am missing that I will try to find. If not, I won't be so negative as long as YOU DONT PICK IT OVER BREAKING BAD! lol

Man, same! One Piece is my favorite ever!!! I agree about don't knowing if they would get it, I think they might need watch more animes and get used to the style before. About the episodes: I don't think is a problem, when you get into it is not that much. If they made 2ep for drop (23 min each, 2 would have the time of an serie episodes 45/46 min) two times a week... it would be 4 eps per week, wich is pretty reasonable. It is probably just a dream, but I would love if they give a chance (plus is a huge fandom that would suport it).

I'm not sure if you've already seen/filmed any BCS yet, but if not, I recommend re-watching the Breaking Bad episode "Better Call Saul" just for a refresher.

Hurts to see, as a a huge Breaking Bad franchise fan, but i can tell that you are both really invested in AoT at the moment and that's nice! Since i don't like the anime style myself, i can't say anything about it, but i do hope that Better Call Saul next week will still catch as much of your attention as Breaking Bad did, even though you are quite in the midst of AoT right now :)

Damn bro.. I love breaking bad but I have to say, in terms of depth of story and characters, attack on titan is ahead. I think you should give it another shot. Season 3 and season 4 of attack on titan are just 🔥

I think the common misconception is that anime is for kids, and while there are some for kids/teens, it doesn't mean there aren't any for adults or adults can't enjoy them. And saying that a person is too "old" to start watching is not really an excuse as well. I'm not saying that everyone should watch anime (everyone's got their own tastes) but anime is definitely not exclusive by age. There alot of celebrities out there that even spoke out that they enjoyed a few animes themselves: Kanye, Elon Musk, John Boyega, Robin Williams, Keanu Reeves, Samuel Jackson, etc. And these are celebrities, imagine the amount of regular adults that watch anime. I do agree that its HARDER to get into when you are already an adult. Especially when you spent majority of your life watching regular tv shows and what not. Also the culture is different, hence the style of anime may not suit everyone. It's all about keeping an open mind and adapting. Just like regular tv shows, anime have ones that are good and ones that are bad. Attack on Titan has a very good popularity and positive rating. It's pretty much goes trending worldwide whenever a crazy episode is released. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but no doubt its fanbase is one of the biggest in the world. It's impossible to have even a step in the anime world and not heard/seen the show. In a way it's been pretty the Breaking Bad/Game of Thrones equivalent. I personally enjoyed Breaking Bad a bit more but AOT definitely up there as one of my fav tv shows.

The reason it is so dramatic is because it takes a lot of influence from old Japanese theater like kabuki and rakugo. It's just a different style, you see something similar in old films from the 50's, and it was still relatively common even as late as the 80's. A lot of acting changed but anime just kind of stuck with it and made its own style. It definitely takes a bit to warm up to if you're not used to, but I do recommend you give it another shot. You're robbing yourself of some of the richest stories ever told. I don't mean to compare apples and oranges, but theres a reason japanese manga is leaving American comics 6 feet under. Don't look at it as childish, it's just a different style.

I can't tell if you're referencing AOT or not. If you are, I don't know what on Earth you mean by "pedo overtones", because I didn't get anything like that from the show at all. I'd agree about the overacting though. I've gotten back into the show gradually, but that really put me off the first time.

Good performances aren't limited to physical acting. The voice actors give phenomenal performances, and so do the dozens of animators and artists working on bringing the show to life. Dismissing all of that as "some voice actor shouting every line" and "cardboard cutouts" is incredibly closed-minded of you, as is dismissing "most anime" as "cringe" despite clearly barely having watched any. But hey, you do you. You're the one missing out by wholly dismissing an entire medium of entertainment and art.

I watched a couple episodes because I try to have an open mind, but to me it was like every other anime I've tried to watch. I can understand how kids and preteens might like stuff like that, but as an adult I just don't understand. I'm sure the story is very good. But, to take Breaking Bad for an example, the story is great, but if the acting and dialogue weren't so good, it wouldn't be a great show. Anime is like if instead of watching the amazing performances by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, you replaced them with cardboard cutouts and some voice actor shouting every line.

I loved invincible, but honestly Attack On Titan leaves it in the dust. you guys should give it a chance, it's unlike any other cartoon or anime. A modern masterpiece

I can say I don't like cartoons either but I did really like Invincible on Prime and Rick and Morty. I guess I just don't like anime with the super dramatic overacting, 45min of wide-eyed children creatures making ohh ahh sounds, and strange pedo overtones.

I really really can't wait for attack on titan, season 2 is were everything start to really mess up, considering everything is really messed up since the very first episode of the serie. But really want to see your reaction on El camino. Take your time

we planned on only watching the 4th one today because we had a lot of things to do, we had to stop at the 7th one because then there really wasn't any possibility to continue.. the cliffhangers for ep 6 and 7 were 1x05 level
