I think it's confusing if we don't pay attention. First Episode: Colossal Titan make a hole in the wall of the district of Shiganshina (Eren's hometown) that was a small city out of wall Maria, protect by a smaller wall, as you said. So, Armored Titan run through the gate of wall Maria, and humanity lost first wall's territory. This episode: Colossal Titan make a hole in district of Trost. So, the second wall is not compromised... only a district (but obviously it's still terible). Anyway, the girls said they realized our characters were on second wall while editing the second episode reaction... But I have no idea if they realized this district thing.

2021-03-21 22:37:23 +0000 UTCActually, in this episode they didn't break through wall Rose (the second wall) either. They break the wall of district of Trost: a city out from the main wall, same as Shingashina in the first episode hehe

2021-03-21 16:33:58 +0000 UTCYou probably realized this by now but they are only on the second wall right now. The titans only broke through the first wall in the first few episodes. A lot of people think they broke through two walls but remember their home town was a special city that sticks out from the main wall with a smaller wall around it. What you were seeing was the titans breaking through the smaller wall then the main wall. Only in this episode do the titans break through the second wall.
