Breaking Bad 5x05 Reaction

Comments

lmao you guys are onto the way this show functions. You see the child at the beginning? instantly predicting some crazy shit is gonna go down. Lol love these reactions!

Ebad Khan

bro you're literally watching a reaction video. Want silence? Watch it on Netflix by yourself lmao.

Meth Damon

Mike Williams

I just skip to the key parts to see if Lola is still trying to ruin the reactions with her "predictions" just before plot points happen. Yup. From start to finish, Lola LOVES to ruin every reaction moment.

Josh PaperDragon

Milena: We'd have to watch episodes 8 and 9 together. Lola: Absolutely, I'm not a fucking psycho! Lmao! We waited like a year between those two episodes :(

ODIS

I thought she was insanely accurate too but I realized I was only counting up her correct predictions, once I started counting the incorrect ones it became obvious she just makes a lot of predictions (still way better at guessing then I was when I watched it)

Euphemia Isobel

The problem is that it's not the first time he's done it. Just a couple episodes ago he did the same thing, specifically referencing something that Lola said, and then going into detail about what kind of outcome a specific character is going to have and how Lola is going to feel about it. He's done this multiple times and gone several days without responding to any other person's criticisms of his spoilers. This time he also talked about El Camino. I doubt this deletion was even done by him. No remorse or apology, repeat offender. The anger is plenty justified if 1,300+ paying patrons (who've been following the LM team for at least 6 months) have to suffer the LM team not being surprised at a particular outcome because one guy decided to repeatedly be a douche.

Dan

A soft spoiler is like if someone told them when Jane was introduced that her and Jesse's relationship was going to end very badly, and that they will hate Walt when they see it. Sure, it's not actually saying what happens in detail, but you're basically spoiling something particular happening with those characters and setting an expectation in a reactors mind as they watch future episodes. Instead of letting the reactor simply watch the show like we did without those specific expectations about a character(s).

Jeff I.

Lol they're both dead wrong just as often as they're right though basically 50/50

A.J.

What's a "soft" spoiler anyway lol

A.J.

Well yeah, I'm from New england grew up the same way. Dirt bikes ATVs camping fishing hiking doing stupid shit but one thing about America no matter where tf you are its 100% safer to be in a rural area or ride a dirt bike through the desert than it is to be in any major city

A.J.

It all depends on where you live in America. There are safe place and unsafe places for sure. Where I grew up it was normal for kids to drive around on dirt bikes outside of towns and to go exploring.

Kris Robnett

Just some spoilers.

Kris Robnett

He wrote a soft spoiler and got several angry responses.

Jeff I.

What did he say?

Dub Dubious

More like "it's New Mexico" LOL

BNJ

She's amazing. I've watched a tonne of BB reactions (because I'm a very sad man) and she picks up so much from it, in a foreign language too!

Hey girls, this is why I might suggest you don't read any comments on Patreon or YT until the end of the show, even if it's not as fun. Or you could have a moderator. But it's your choice! :-)

Carlos - Walt absolutely did not win a Nobel Prize. Also, the whole "Walt would have known how much poison to give to Brock to ensure his survival" is a reach and a half. Normal medications take years of research to determine toxicity levels, and I highly doubt the toxic levels of a poison has been thoroughly researched in humans that someone can determine just the right amount to give to a child to avoid killing them. Being a chemist doesn't mean he knows intricate details behind the chemistry of every substance on earth. Even if it is, so many assumptions would have to be made regarding the child's physiology and metrics, like his weight, that whatever amount he determined to be safe would still come with a tremendous risk of the child dying. And this is before taking into account whether Brock would have received medical treatment in time. Brock's mom could have easily assumed it to be a cold for much longer and not have brought him to the hospital until it was too late, regardless of dosage. Walt is smart, but you are grossly overestimating his capabilities. You can defend and like Walt all you want, but pretending he didn't blatantly risk a child's life is ridiculous.

One of my favorite moments of seeing Walt's mind is right when Jesse tells him Brock is going to survive. And Walt says "Oh!....Oh Thank God!!". It shows that he wasnt 100% sure that Brock would live from being poisoned, but still risked it for his own benefit. Says a lot about how hes probably feeling about this situation.

Daniel Chavez

"It's America who fuckin knows" lol thanks love

A.J.

Now that the boy has been killed there's an interesting smaller morale dilemma which you touched on shortly. What to with the boy's body? Are they going to melt him and have him disappear and have his family never know what happened to him or will they find some way of getting his body out to them?

Luis

Fuckin Todd yo

A.J.

Which is some fuckin sick and twisted foreshadowing but no spoilers so I can't say more but yes its absolutely genius

A.J.

Yeah, no one ever expects Todd to pull the trigger. And the train sequence is so good, it's hard for most people to remember the kid at all. Really gets your adrenaline pumping with Walt delaying the cutoff. And to think, who would have expected Jesse and Walt to be robbing a train back in Season 1 when they couldn't even ROLL a barrel (with Hank laughing at the security footage)?

Dan

Carlos - important to straighten out - Walt didn't actually win a Nobel Prize (if he did, he wouldn't be struggling with money :) Walt's groundbreaking research CONTRIBUTED to a project for which other people were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Chris B

The editing and music of the train sequence is a masterpiece.

Bryan Givens

Lola needs to stop spoiling the show. lol

the Forgiven

9:55 second mark idk how to hyperlink anythink haha

Bryce

yeah, somehow both of us thought walt said it and i only caught that jesse said it while editing and immediately knew that he was gonna blame himself for this, i honestly don't know how much more he can take... im literally trying so hard to think of the time jesse called walt walt but i can't even hear that sound coming out of jesses mouth

LM Reactions

The issue is that Jesse is the one who said "no one can ever know" about the heist, so of course, from what we've seen so far, Jesse will blame himself for the death of this boy and it's going to hurt him very badly. He's the person who feels the loss of the innocent in this show. Also regarding the boy riding a dirt bike in the desert in NM; that's such a normal thing here that it's just supposed to be a representative of a "normal childhood" in NM. I know, a bit strange but driving around the desert is like meditation for us desert dwellers lol And to Milena, I'm glad you caught the respect aspect of how Jesse refers to Walt as "Mr. White" still, like he's still his student sitting in class. He's only ever called him "Walt" once, can you recall the one time that Jesse didn't refer to Walt as "Mr. White"? *hint it was a few seasons back*

Bryce

also, Walt have won a Nobel Prize in chemistry (you can see this in a portrait in the wall in the first episode of the whole series). So chemistry is his realm. in that scenario with Brok, he knows how much to give, this is the area of expertise, people should't forget that. In this episode however, would be a different scenario, something away from Walt's domain, but I still think he would not be able to hurt this child. Especially when they didn't show him with a gun or something else that could hurt that child.

Carlos Filipe Schmildt

Oh my, oh my! You are amazingly intuitive and smart! You saw the kid's death coming. Now you get to know moreTodd. Another great character. Great as always. Love you guys!

Ortiz Jorge

I love this episode, RIP kid tho

PCG98

i agree but with brock he didn't need to kill him but in this situation where they can't leave witnesses i just have no idea what he would have done had todd not been there, i still can't imagine him pulling a trigger but i just have no idea

LM Reactions

My first time seeing this episode, I totally forgot about the kid at the start, so the ending really did shocked me.

Steven Jeanrolus

RIP kid

BNJ

this is breaking bad, nothing is too dark lol. but i think the discussion of whether or not walt would have shot was nice. i agree that while walter has been ruthless, even he would hesitate or be unable to pull the trigger. no doubt he probably feel relieved and less burdened than jesse but actually ordering the death of a child...idk if walter is that far gone. yes he poisoned brock but he purposely gave him something that he knew was able to recover from. lily of the valley was common for children and is easily healed. if he truly didnt care about the lives of children, he wouldve given brock the ricin or anything else that couldve harmed brock even more.

Danny
