Attack on Titan 3x22 Reaction

Comments

If u watch season 4 buy the blue ray it’s way better

Sergeant Jay

Season 4 is going to be amazing too 🤣

Ivan

he is just getting them hyped chill, also they are like a good amount of episodes deep into season 4 they pre recorded there reactions btw

BOBBY

Thank you for the reply. These guys even made their own website for viewers to watch their AoT reaction videos.

ilyaRusin

we don't get strikes but non of our aot videos are monetized

LM Reactions

How do they deal with copyright strikes on AoT? There was a youtube channel called Accent Central, and they quit making AoT reaction videos because of constant copyright strikes. They were among the best AoT reaction channels.

ilyaRusin

Hinting at things yet to come IS a spoiler jeez

lasagnaman

It gets even better in season 4 which is just insane

AJ

I hate her as a person but love her as a character. The fact that she can get generate so much hatred from people while in my opinion still being partially sympathetic to her is a testament to her writing.

Rick Turpentine

good thinking immy

Joaquin garcia

The ending you can see eren breaking, Eren realizing he will never be free there is always another enemy another person to fight , for armin and mikasa reaching the sea was a moment of happiness, for eren it was sad, it was a realization that it was all for nothing.

joshua

Although I’m on team Armin, a comment I have on your point on Erwin that it it’s smart for a commander to ensure that there is an easy transition in the event of their death. Remember, in four months the scouts lost nearly every single one of their experienced personnel, aside from Levi and Hange, and that was before the Beast Titan and the Armored Titan decimated them in this past battle. Erwin himself commented that the scouts were nowhere near their former strength, as they even struggled with the smallest titans. Erwin likely did have contingencies if he died, but those went out the window when literally all his officers and all his scouts were killed by Berthold and Zeke

My Toasty Toast

More likely Tuesday the following week. 3 eps of Lost Girls. :P

Isaac

Nah. It's just edited

Isaac

It's foreshadowing. PKS is literally talking about stuff that hasn't happened yet? So yes it IS very much remotely close to being a spoiler

Marcus

I’ve read the manga and even then I don’t think the connection really adds anything since they went about it in such a “creative” way, but regardless I just think at this point it would make things more confusing than they need to be

Nick

If we kill all our enemies..Will we finally be free? That is the question I believe no one wanted to hear, because it's not that easy. The biggest change is Eren, not smiling because he knows the task ahead. Glad you guys enjoyed S3, strap in and be ready for S4. BTW you guys should really watch the end credits.

Cation

Did they miss the credit scenes?

Mati D.

S4 starts on Friday next week.

Wearing a Levi's shirt while watching AOT, I see you Milena.

ZedW

omg I just realized this means they'll start season 4 this weekend I'm shakingggg

Kim555

I wasn't referring to Annie, but I don't want to talk spoilers, so it is really hard to describe her without that, so I'm just going to leave it like that.

szepi79

The one that takes the whole cake is frekin grisha, his life is a tragedy

Ammar gayal

That doesn't give shit away. It's not even remotely close to a spoiler.

Trent_88

stop saying things like this cmon

lasagnaman

Ooh the fun begins. S04 baby. Still most people don't know the real power of Attack Titan.

PKS

True, it's not to say Floch is 100% right about it, but he willingly gave his life for the sake of humanity and was spared by destiny, he not only saw two people prioritize their friend over the one who led them there (because when he first got there Levi was determined). Not only that, he is now estranged, everyone who survived are deeply connected on a personal level and he's got nobody, he feels like he gave his life (and he did) and still feels treated like a pawn. Again, it's not that he is 100% in the right, it's that what he feels is understandable and as someone who gave his life he should not "be quiet"

Victor

I think it's just a memento. A piece of tangible proof that the sea was real and he was there.

Rick Turpentine

To make it more potent his head never glances down. He is looking straight to the horizon.

Rick Turpentine

So sad. Everyone enjoying a brief moment of levity for the first time in God knows how long and the only thing Eren can think about is destroying the enemy. He isn't even looking at the sea he is looking toward the horizon. Towards THEM.

Rick Turpentine

Whether Marley propaganda is true or not became irrelevant after they started doing the very same thing they accused Eldians of.

Gorostas

@Kaedjik Mikasa, sure. Eren, however is the linchpin of the Wall Maria offensive. Scouts recruited people from other military branches based on his abilities. It's not leadership, but to say he holds no accountability doesn't make sense, to me. But, yes, Levi holds the most responsibility for that decision wasn't good judgment on his part. I actually love that that's the case for his character. Kenny had such a profound impact on Levi that he made a heavily emotional decision. @Rick Yes! That scene with Rico says a lot. It's a good one. I wish it was revisited.

Isaac

While I agree Erwin is the choice I would have made Levi was still justified in terms of chain of command. Erwin himself gave Levi the serum and told him to use it how he sees fit. His final motivation was because of Kenny actually. Put simply, everyone is drunk on something that keeps them moving forward. He weighed the two of their dreams and ambitions side by side and realized Armins FAR outweighed Erwin. Erwin himself said he didn't know what he wanted after reaching the basement and won't know until he gets there. Armin literally has dreams of seeing the entire world over. He was afraid Erwin wouldn't be hungry enough to carry humanity onward anymore and it makes sense. Erwin literally said to Levi before the mission that seeing the basement held more value to him than HUMANITY. So once the basement is wrapped up what exactly is Erwin fighting for? Erwin's contributions to humanity we're wholey a side effect that happened to go along with his dream of proving his father right. Again I choose Erwin all day every day there and tell him fuck your dream you selfish bastard you proved your father right now please continue fighting for humanity. But if you think he would just wake up gung ho guns ablaze I think you misinterpreted his character arc.

Rick Turpentine

Honestly the fact that it's such a deeply relatable and emotional subject that can easily translate to real life is a testament to the amazing writing in this series.

Rick Turpentine

ayo fwolf chill dawg

MGU

In the first few episodes my mother who is an avid bird enthusiast happened to notice a bird in the show and told me exactly what type of bird it was and said they must be in a coastal town. Shit blew my mind.

Rick Turpentine

Right before the mission to plug the hole at Trost the blond girl, I forget her name, has a talk with Eren about essentially this very thing. She knew that if he plugged the gate he would be elevated to the highest value to humanity and find himself surrounded by the highest ranking and most important people. She understands that someone in his position could very easily find themselves more valuable than the "common soldiers" who will undoubtedly be used and die as pawns to allow him to advance through important missions. She essentially ego checks the kid before his head gets to big in advance. A really cool and often overlooked scene.

Rick Turpentine

Eren and Mikasa aren't the ones in charge - Levi was. They aren't asking anybody to die for their sake - the leadership is. I'm sure many people would choose their friend in the heat of the moment over an important commander, so I'm not sure why you're putting so much blame on Eren and Mikasa.

Balanatro42

It is cannon though and does make sense once you understand everything.

Rick Turpentine

As early as episode 11 Eren after having only turned Titan once says "the Titans aren't our only enemies." This was before they even knew for sure that the collosal and armor were humans too.

Rick Turpentine

I think of the birds in terms of our human history. We have always thought of birds as being free.

Thomas Huenefeld

You guys touched upon Eren wanting to fight, and that he might even possibly genocide marley in revenge. I've seen a lot of people theorize this and say that if he did he would be justified because of what marley has done. Food for thought though, from that perspective is marley not then equally justified in how they treat eldians and what they've done at this point? We can surmize at this point that most of the Marleyan propaganda about the eldians terrible history and crimes is true, considering the entire world bears them a grudge and king fritz himself made the vow renouncing war because he believed eldia's sins were to great to atone for. And keep in mind Marley has been doing this for less than a hundred years compared to the roughly 1800 years eldians oppressed the continent.

Albertan Motorcyclist

Another idiotic comment, of course ages matter, if you were in need of financial advice would you go to a 40 year old accountant with 15-20 years experience or a 15 year old who just started learning finances at school??? What do you mean who cares about the other soldiers? Erwin said in his final speech it’s up to the living to remember those died for them. Every single jndividual on paradis island who is in danger from the rest of the world is allowed to have an opinion and you can clearly see the soldiers are angry they would choose a child over a commander. still waiting for someone to come up with an actual valid argument as to why armin should have been picked over erwin, here’s a hint: there is no logical argument for it.

Sean Carroll (AOT is better than GOT)

Couldn't be said any better

Rashthem

Sean C stop complaining about ages, Eren is also 15 yo. Armin at 15yo has done more than Erwin at 15yo. >>shows you the other soldiers looking back in disgust Who cares about those other soldiers they weren't there in the battle or with the scouts.

PST3

But not when that 15 year old brought down the Colossal Titan and discovered the Female titan. Erwin's great at speeches but his plans usually end up with many soldiers dying because of his gambles.

PS

Floch is a coward, you don't want them as soldiers they usually end up committing atrocities. Floch talks like he's been with Erwin on many missions, and worse he doesn't know when to talk, he starts lashing out during a funeral/ceremony like an edge lord.

PST3

It's more about the sheer distrust I would have as a Scout against Eren, Levi, and Mikasa. Anyone who joined the Scouts put themselves at the highest amount of risk imaginable to accomplish their goals. Having such a fragile existence, all you can rely on are your skills and your fellow Scouts to be of the same mind of service and sacrifice. However, it's painfully clear that that's not the case. Eren and Mikasa will choose their close friend over the purpose of the Scouts. In many instances, that would be noble to value your loved ones so highly. However, it is SO unfair that they ask every member of the scouts to ride out and die for their sake, yet when faced with a hard situation, they choose their friend. Floch's main point is what sticks out, in my opinion: "You guys better start telling the truth before you start recruiting again." Admit to people who join that their personal priorities take precedence. Otherwise, it's messed up that the Scouts are just "fodder" to keep the "special" ones safe. Wonderful reaction, by the way! I can't wait to enjoy S4 with you all!

Isaac

Ben C, you’re argument is beyond dumb, saying that it’s cruel to bring Erwin back, unfortunately that doesn’t matter, he was the man they relied on for years and to choose for him to die over a 15 year old is idiotic. You’re saying it’s flochs opinion but the episode literally shows you the other soldiers looking back in disgust because they agree with floch and are angry that armin was brought back, floch is just the only one brave enough to say it like I said. So according to you armin should be brought back because he’s a “G”? My god that’s a dumb comment

Sean Carroll (AOT is better than GOT)

Thinking Floch was "100% right" is childish. He doesn't know for a FACT that Erwin was the better choice over Armin. Armin is a G and it would be cruel to bring Erwin back. It was just Floch's opinion. Then Floch says "we all think Erwin was the better choice". Bullcrap. Floch saying "we all think that" just because it's his personal opinion is childish. I understand his point of view, and it's valid, but it's not 100% the truth. It's his opinion.

Ben C

Getting triggered by seeing literally any body of water, im lmao xDDD

EspiOwnage

Hearing you guys talk and theorize about season 4 leads me to believe that you’ll enjoy the entirety of it, even the ending which a lot of ppl dislike

Sebastian

perfect ending for such an amazing season - i love this episode so much !!

MGU

The ovas are really great, the only thing I think you should keep in mind is that a lot of weird stuff happens in mikasa’s ova that never really comes up again in the rest of the show and I recommend not thinking too hard abt the specifics of it because it will definitely mess up your understating of the story as a whole

Nick

but... you do know why Zeke did it, right? I don't hate him. I only hate one person (female). I'm sure you can guess who is that.

szepi79

The titan fights in season 1 and 2 were the best they've ever been. But the titan animation in season 3 was much more slow, static and awkward in comparison. Just like at Reiner vs Eren round 2 compared to the first and the difference is clear as day. Annie vs Eren in the forest was the best titan fight animation wise we've ever had and ever will have. I prefer the CG titans like in episode 1 and 7 of season 4 rather than the static 2d ones we got in season 3 part 2.

Doccyy

I think Mappa season 4 is actually better than season 3 by Wit adaptation wise. Season 3 lost a lot of the skilled and unique direction that the first seasons had and felt more just like copy pasting the manga panels into anime form besides some cool sakuga scenes. Season 4 on the other hand doesn't have much sakuga or amazing animation sequences that we'd come to expect from Wit but it has top notch direction in so many scenes and creative decisions that don't just copy the manga panel by panel for certain sequences.

Doccyy

I have never not cried at the final moments of this episode. the emotion, the dialogue, the fade into music. it ends one of my favorite anime experiences of all time (this season) and begins another amazing one. glad to be on this journey with you two

Ryan

I think back to season 1 when Erwin asked Eren who he thought the real enemy was.

Thomas Huenefeld

@FWolf I agree I'm not sure why you @'d me. Like I said I don't mind him.

ML9

one could argue for almost any of the characters :D that's the 'beauty' of this show :D for me, it's Grisha who got it worst.

szepi79

FWolf speaking facts

john ross

@FWolf I don't mind Floch but Floch defenders in AoT comment sections are vicious is the point I was making lol

ML9

Okay, so has everyone else in the Scouts. I call him a bitch because of the way he’s so insensitive to everyone and worships authority. I get that it’s because he’s desperate to be saved, but that still doesn’t excuse his decisions now (or later in the manga). TL;DR Floch has a point, but he’s still a suck up and a bitch.

Harfie

Levi and Eren take the cake.

Yall are going to love season 4, it's really good.

Justin Sprouse

Because not everyone has a high IQ and EQ and maturity. I never hate characters, I’m always neutral, cuz I know they’re written that way by the author for his reasons. I think it’s wiser to understand and agree or disagree, rather than hating/being angry. Arguing with someone about whether a character should be liked or disliked, is like trying to pursue someone who doesn’t like milk to like milk. Like, everyone has their own view on things. Milk may be delicious to u but disgusting to others, describing how delicious milk is won’t change the other person’s mind, same with Floch

Ceige

Oh no the die hard Floch defenders have arrived lol

ML9

in AoT it's like the characters are in a competition whose fate is sadder/more fucked up, and somehow they are all winning.

szepi79

I feel emotional every time watching the scene where Eren comforts Armin about freedom and then the dramatic pause. It showed and made me feel Eren’s traumatized state so much.

Ceige

Anyone who did a sucide charge is not a bitch at all. He had every right to call them out. In no way would you choose a 15 year old kid over a experienced veteran commander, he had every right to call out their bullshit.

john ross

yup friday next week

LM Reactions

Will you be taking a break or upload s4e1 on friday??

Jer emy

this was great and I'm so excited for S4!!!

lasagnaman

Oh, I’m sorry Commander Smith. I didn’t know this was so personal.

Harfie

But I remember them mentioning that theyre gonna rewatch the series before they start S4, hope thats not the case personally

Sam

Looking forward to Lost Girls, I really like Mikasa's part the most personally and I think you guys will too

ML9

we do we just don't leave it in

LM Reactions

Friday next week if they're watching Lost Girls OVA

Is there an idea of when the full reaction goes out? Wondering whether I wait tonight or it's for tomorrow :)

EAY

Roughly when can we expect S4?

Sam

Nobody cares you're a manga reader bro

ML9

People being angry that Armin got the serum is a natural reaction to have. Armin was a nobody to the military soldiers or even the common people. I mean Armin is not their friend or family, why would they care about him? Erwin is their leader and commander. Every high-ranking official worth his salt must've been livid after hearing about Levi's choice. You don't just choose to bring a 15-year old kid over your most senior experienced commander who brought you to victory. That's what's happening here. People are feeling angry that they took a gamble to bring back a newbie soldier (with potential) over the commander.

He has a point, but he’s a little bitch. That’s why no one listens to him lol.

Harfie

I always interpreted it this way. Seeing the sea was Armin's dream (his curiosity to learn and experience new things). Eren co-opted that dream and to him seeing the sea would signify he was finally free. Except now seeing the sea means that the memories of his dad that he relived were accurate and there is a country of people who hate and oppress his kind. He isn't free, he just escaped a small cage that's inside a much bigger one.

Alejandro Gil

Some things I think were improved on. I really enjoy the character animations for regular mundane activities. Just someone leaning on a wall or getting up from a chair.

Jeff DeLoach

It shows what's across the sea, warts and all.

Jeff DeLoach

Why do people always refuse to understand flochs point of view? He was just calling out both the main characters and the viewers bias by choosing armin (a teenage boy) over commander Erwin (an experienced battle hardened leader). The choice was completely illogical to those who saw Erwin as their saviour, floch was the only one brave enough to say it and he was 100%right. Don’t forget floch also lost all his friends in the beast titan charge but no one ever cares about that because he’s a “new character”, he truly shows us how much main character bias there is. Isn’t the whole point of attack on titan to understand all sides of the war, but just because someone told the cold hard truth you don’t like or care for his character, that’s childish thinking.

Sean Carroll

Lola lowkey looks traumatized/depressed knowing the truth, like u can tell she feels so sad for the characters’ tragic future that awaits for them. Hope u take care of urself and get back to good spirits :’|

Ceige

UMI-DAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

when will full lenght be up?

Jaqcues

Eren kissing Historias hand. Anime watchers: wait what was that?? Manga readers: HOLY SHITTTTTTTT!!!

Sean Carroll

love this episode. truly feels like a chapter is closing. very excited for your reactions to season 4 and beyond

James

I think the biggest difference between the two studios is the flow of the odm and titan animation, it didn't really bother me as much

immy

Those credits are grim

Jeff DeLoach

De acuerdo

Jeff DeLoach

tbh wit studio (1-3 seasons) def trumps the final season (mappa). this is not saying mappa did not do well, just not as good. but overall its still aot, its still good and while the titans look horrendous at times, its still a great show. just rly wished wit took over because theyve been doing aot since the beginning so its a huge risk to change into a diff studio this late into the game

Danny

Your supposed to watch till the very end of the episode!! The credits and everything

sean

It's like Armin always hoped that there was a sea out there and now when he saw it he was really happy but for eren it's like he always knew there is a sea out there but he doesn't have the freedom to go see it..

Chitranshu Singh

how did you understand it as him not giving a fuck? for me he's hurting like never before because he now knows the extent of this 'truth' he craved for.

bondbond53

I heard y'all say in an earlier episode that someone said the animation quality drops in season 4. I was also worried about that but don't think it is an issue. The animation studio changed, and while the animation style is markedly different, I don't think the quality takes a hit.

Jeff DeLoach

omg wtf tis section is full of spoiling. I have not seen season 4, so you are telling that eren will destroy his enemies??, this is pretty much of spoiling. I think I had enough reading the comments, I will not do it anymore.

Basti

"destroy his enemies" tbh I did not get that impression at the end of this episode after watching it for the first time

Rich

nah eren just sad cuz his fathers memories spoiled the ocean for him

Danny

pls stop spoiling

umpaa

Yup! You're riighttthehe

immy

el oh el

Gigi

they weren't saying "ackermann" in that quote at the beginning. "Akuma" in Japanese means devil I think

Mahni Alizadeh

@FWolf tell that to my high school literature teacher

LM Reactions

I'd like to think that too but Isayama has shown us too much foreshadowing, metaphors and writing techniques that I feel like that zoom in shot was intentional, the way armins hands were open, how the shell was empty and dark inside in contrast to the sparkling blue water. It calls back to one of the main themes of the authors's ( Isayama's )story - "it is a cruel, but beautiful world".

immy

ummm..........

BOBBY

sheeeesh

BOBBY

Java

Jeff DeLoach

What always hits me is just how damn tired Eren looks at the end.

Alex Antonio

It's Attack on Tuesday 😁

Richard

Oh boy here comes season 4. Ya'll are in for a hell of a ride

Neil Patel

Oh that's actually brilliant I've never thought of that angle before! Thanks I'm gonna go cry now

immy

hahahahaha i thought it was a premonition of our characters becoming a shell of themsleves

LM Reactions

Oi shh spoilsss

Hiii I think the shell is a metaphor for them leaving the confines of their walls or somethin

Jeff DeLoach

YES, we will be free
