yes exactly. Man I love this community with this show. Everyone gets it. Other people just hate on Gabi and seem to be blind to the intentional tragic design of her character and how it exposes their hypocrisy.

It's so funny to me when people say "Oh you like Gabi? Wait for episode 8" because that's exactly when Gabi gets even better lol. Like I love Sasha don't get me wrong but Gabi's character only gets more amazing from here on out

A thing I love about Gabi is how her character is both a completely parallel of Eren but there are so many refreshing aspects to her. Like Eren in the beginning was powerless, and he had physical challenges he had to overcome. But Gabi isn't powerless, she's extremely talented, a prodigy, and her challenges she has to overcome are psychological. While Eren's black and white mentality is obviously part of his character development from S1-3, he also has to deal with how he isn't strong enough to get vengeance on titans on his own. But unlike Eren, Gabi can do something about the rage she feels. She is able to kill those devils. More than one of them. What she has to deal with, is the fact that she can kill as many as she wants, but it won't take away the self hatred she has, because she needs to realize they aren't devils after all - and neither is she Also another cool parallel is this episode she admits she might die up in the airship but that everyone should carry on her strength, like Eren would say in the beginning of the series, that people need to keep fighting so the Scouts' sacrifices aren't for nothing, to carry on the spirit and will of those whose lives are lost. Gabi is very noble and has a strong sense of justice indeed, and she wants freedom for her loved ones, but she was raised in a much more oppressive environment

Zeke had to say "Eren Jaeger is not my enemy" to let the Scouts know he didn't betray them. When he showed up as the Beast Titan and started attacking them, the scouts thought he betrayed them, but the reason he had to show up was because Pieck outsmarted them and she and Porco (Galliard/Jaw Titan/Ymir Titan is called Porco btw) managed to escape. Zeke had to actually fight the Scouts because he wanted to escape to Paradis without suspicion, now that Pieck and Porco (Cart and Jaw) were there he had to make sure they didn't suspect him (When he shows up in the beginning of 4x7 you can see Pieck and Captain Magath look at him with suspicion because they already suspect him). There's so many clues Zeke was working against Marley that I'm surprised you guys didn't pick up on it since you understand most things, but the anime did cut some out (Like Zeke is originally playing baseball with Falco's brother in episode 4). Code Geass has a very interesting theme, but many don't like mecha animes (I actually do too, but Code Geass is the exception for me). Besides, I rather think there are other shows they should watch beforehand that I'm sure they'd like.

I’ve been rewatching Code Geass and it’s still so amazing. I wish LM can react to it after Death Note, It would be the perfect order too! The 3 main characters and themes of DN, AOT and Code Geass are similar and often compared together, yet they’re masterpieces unique in their own way. Like aot, Code Geass is also fast paced, intense, tear jerking and cozy. Hope it gets to the next poll 🥺

I head you said that you like Magath a lot so let me just tell one thing you may have maybe noticed or not :) Everytime marleyans soldiers speak of Pieck and Galliard you always hear them saying the "cart" or the "jaw" as if they only exists by their titans while Magath call them clearly by their name. When pieck was in danger he was saying "protect pieck" and not "save the cart titan" When finding Gabi and Falco the first thing he told them was "Braun, Grice are you okay ?" showing he seems to care about eldians unlike other marleyans. I am not saying he is a saint but I think he is a complex and interresting character :)

Yeah should be easy. But clearly isn't because some people say spoiler-y things and then the other half of the comments are people warning them about potential spoilers. The comments are just not good as a result and make it frustrating to interact.

Sorry if it came off harshly. It's not you specifically. Point was more I'm just as sick of all the 'stop reading comments and get mods because spoilers' comments as the people actually spoiling. They've been doing these AoT reactions for 8 months now. They know. Comments should be about discussion. And I realize I'm not exactly setting a good example but I just want it to stop.

I personally think they need moderators, but I can understand why some folks might find that suggestion to be annoying. After all, people have been recommending moderators for a long time now; the topic comes up every week. I think it's pretty unlikely that LM Reactions haven't seen at least a few of these comments. If they were interested in finding volunteers to moderate the comments and delete spoilers, they would have done so by now.

I just wish Isayama would give something more to sasha's character than eating/hungry/potatoes/"niku" - like he has created so many amazing characters, he made sasha's character completely about food, even in her death - in english translation it was almost comedic

99% of the time patreon is a fantastic platform to support creators & interact with other people in the community. Unfortunately there is always going to be a small percentage of people that think they’re cute by posting spoilers. Generally I tend to ignore it & just hang out in the comments.

@Paris I sincerely thought it'd be a tad bit different than youtube comments but it's not at all. the main positives of patreon is having the consistency of other supporters either indepth commentary or emotionally charged words to validate our own experience of the series. this episode was my favorite so i thought i'd take a look at how many others have similar or different thoughts on things but more or less it's the same as any other partform , less manga spoilers and more positive replies on trivial matters of AoT. i duno. first time interacting in patreon episode have found some i resonate with at least.

I didn’t realize suggesting some form of moderation was such a hot button issue. There is an enormous difference between “encouraging discourse “ & outright typing spoilers into a comment section about topics/material that is episodes ahead of the actual episode being discussed or even yet to be adapted. If anything that is “low quality” commenting.

I thought that the one main currency of reactions is spectators get to see/ feel genuine reactions of reactors as if watching an episode for the first time spoil free. or if not just discussion and review - but thats another segment. all together can't please everyone, can't avoid all spoilers but to a point making a huge or small deal of it should be upon LM and paying supporters so they can run a poll. to spoil or not to spoil. lol is that extra af. geez can we have a better thread in patreon talking more about the show and discussing themes with reference to previous episodes and making an efffort not to spoil . should be easy right. i mean youtube is full of manga spoilers, it'd suck to have ya'll spread bs in this platform

Yes, their discussions still have value on its own. But their channel / content is mainly "reactions" not "review or discussion" even though they are also part of it. That said, "reaction" is the main thing that many people tune into their channel for. So if they are spoiled on certain plot detail, it will ruin many people's experience with their content because these people tune in specifically for the pure reaction - not for the review/discussion. You may enjoy the review/discussion aspect, but don't assume everyone is the same as you. I do enjoy their review/discussions as well but I would also prefer them to not be spoiled so I can watch their genuine reaction to the story. I would rather they delete the spoiler comments to avoid getting spoiled rather than getting spoiled because either way, they will still review/discuss the episode. But once spoiled, you will never get their pure, genuine reaction to the story ever again. You can only experience the story unspoiled ONCE - that's a huge part of reaction channels.

Discussion and spoiler are two very different things. Commenting on things such as Levi wearing scout cape is not a spoiler because it already happened in the episode they may have just missed the detail. Encouraging discussion does not need to involve spoilers.

i was writting a really long comment but i just keep it simple xd, they should have moderators deleting spoilers and people saying "dont watch this because is spoler" but people saying that is not that bad, i never say it but they just want to help, and if the spoilers comments are deleting those comments will stop too, because usually when people say that is for a opening or a episode title or because a person comment a spoiler

My point is that it's not the only factor. Our comments can help shape discourse positively too like noting that Levi was the only one wearing the scout cape. So encouraging discussion is good and worth the slight risk of spoilers.

What are you talking about? The least amount of spoilers = the best possible quality of reactions. It isn't rocket science.

I disagree that being super free of spoilers is a requirement for their channel. It's about authentic reactions and discussion. Even if you were spoiled you can still react to HOW it was done and discuss why it made you feel a certain way. And their discussions are outstanding no matter what so spamming the comments section with 'stop spoiling' takes away from discussion and is a low quality comment that contributes nothing.

This illustrates my point perfectley, you're saying that UNLESS you've read the manga (meaning you already knows what happens) its not a spoiler. It is NOT full of spoilers unless you know whats going to happen. Thats why people who say "dont pay attention to this its a spoiler" are literally spoiling. I understand that they are not trying to spoil and they have the best in mind for them, but the fact is that them trying to prevent them from getting spoiled are spoiling without realizing it. Just let them watch the show as is intended by the creators.

i understand your point but they are really smart and i think they can figure it out, maybe they first op don´t have much of spoiler but if you read the manga before season 3 second part you can see that is full of spoilers, and if you read the manga you can see that they connect some points like really good with some teories, im not going to say what but like i told you, if you have read the manga you know what it is

Commenting "THIS IS A SPOILER" spoils more than it would to just normally watch the show. Sure you can pick up on things but thats how the show is intended to be watched by the creators. Having people telling you its a spoiler actually just spoils you because now you are reading into it more and paying more attention. Thats why they had to skip certain intro or outros, because people said that they are spoilers. No they arent. They became spoilers the moment they said that though.

I don't think you realize how easy it is for an intelligent person to piece things together just from hints and confirming or denying. You find it annoying because lots of people complain about it, but think about the fact that they're paying for months of commitment to a channel whose success entirely hinges on not being spoiled. One spoiler could ruin an entire show, along with months (sometimes years) of anticipation and payment. There is literally no point to reaction channels if they know what's going to happen.

Man you clearly don't understand the show, you are exactly like Gabi except Gabi has more justification. You want a young girl tortured to death because she shot a character you liked, but can't be bothered to understand why she shot someone who killed her friends (who are REAL people to her, not just a character). Learn some empathy; Gabi lives thinking the paradise islanders are devils, and then they come here and prove what she believes to be true. She witnesses her childhood friends and even the kind marleyans she sees every day killed in front of her, and kills the attacking soldier responsible. If your home was attacked, your friends killed, and you had access to a weapon, would you not fight the invaders who just destroyed your home?

Just for clarification (I still didn't saw the post commentary), Zeke is working with the Scouts, that's why Pick said that Yelena is a fellow follower of Zeke, and Yellena is working with the Scout like you know already.
