I think Annie's lower score was attributed to the fact that Commandante Keith stated she worked poorly with others, whereas Reiner appeared to be a natural leader. Hand-to-hand combat ability is only a small fraction of their final scores.

The very first time I saw riener I thought he looked like the armored even before we knew people could turn into titans, meanwhile I literally had no idea the female was annie until the the moment she transformed. its amazing how obvious this show is yet its so hard to figure it out

They are all amazing at different things but I must say overall I think Bertholdt holds the cake in non hand to hand combat like he is good with swords and stuff his problem is that thanks to his titan he is too timid and shy and really isn’t on his best game until later in the show.

Regarding you not knowing how season 3 would top season 2, actually I don’t know how you will take the first part of season 3. It takes a whole different vibe than the first two seasons. For me, I totally loved it, but some people say it’s slow and not as epic as the first two. However, we all know that the second part of the season will top anything you’ve ever seen👀🔥

Love it. I feel like this casual reveal is a reaction channel rite of passage. Everyone who sees it thinks there's some sort of mistake or that there's something wrong with their subtitles or something like that. And there's always one person in the group that starts looking at other people just to check whether they saw the same thing. It's like that in the manga too. Reiner just talking like it's no big deal mixed in with Hange talking about something else. Like someone reading too fast could miss it entirely. I thought I had a bad translation when I first read it.

I personally think s3 works better without the 3x12 tag, since I feel that was mostly given to tide us over through the 8 month wait between part 1 and part 2. And with how astute the girls are at figuring stuff out, I think they'll understand the significance of that scene like 2 episodes before it happens.
