you could seen how old reiner bertholdt and annie at episode 2 of attack on titan. its impossible to notice them at first watch.

Actually, this ep helps you to understand better the contradiction in Reiner's mind that leads to a lot of emotional scenes after and if you're sharp, you'd realize how Ymir got the power of titan that you should deduce in the first place. Also, one line sentence that Eren said to Reiner in this ep is really killer when you watched s4 e5.

2021-07-09 21:21:11 +0000 UTCJust two minor corrections from the discussion: When Ymir tried to confirm Reiner if they know about the Beast Titan, Reiner stood shocked and answer that he does not know. It was Reiner lying about the information. That's why Ymir said Reiner's face was too shocked to not know what's the deal with the Beast Titan. The second thing is when Eren asked Ymir who the enemy is, She was about to answer, but Reiner interrupted her and convinced her to pick side. Therefore, when Eren asked Ymir again who the enemy is, the " I don't know" does not necessarily means she has no clue. It was implying she was convinced by Reiner and no longer siding with Eren.

The plot and the world of aot itself are just too complicated to understand them. You forgot Ymir's background and many more things. Though I completely understand it. I myself binge-watched the show and felt clueless watching it. NOW Idk if it counts as SPOILERS, so... please someone comment on it, so I could quickly edit my comment(delete the next part). SOOOOOOOOOO...... creators did show us the complete creation of smart titans by now(I mean this episode). It wasn't made obvious and you girls happily gave it no mind and forgot about it just like I did, watching aot the first time.

2021-07-09 19:40:35 +0000 UTCI believe that Eren, Mikasa and Armin are 15 at this point (in the first episode which was 5 years ago they were 10) and I'm assuming that Reiner is a bit older so he could be like 16-17 now making him 11-12 when he barged through the wall.

2021-07-09 19:38:38 +0000 UTCGuys I know you’ve already finished this season so you might’ve already found this out but Reiner/Bert are 17 years old. 5 years ago was when they first broke through the walls so they were 12. At the end of season 1 episode 2, there’s a 1-year time skip and then another 2 year time skip during episode 3 and then another 2 year time skip by the end of episode 4.
