@tom uh I gave you more than one reason why I said that, but if you want to focus only on one point and ignore the others in an attempt to bolster your argument go ahead I guess lol. Do you really think showing the beast titan human form compares to this teaser? I guess I can see why you think it's no big deal if they watch it. Hope they don't watch it, I've watched 4 other reactors to this show and each time they watched the stupid teaser and suddenly make accurate calls to something that most likely they never would have if they didn't essentially watch a trailer for some reason. @wade You're right.

Maybe you watch or notnthe post credits, or something like the s3 part 2 opening is completly ok. I think there are there for us the viewers to watch them. I personally believe that the s3 part 2 opening is the best song, I saw it and didn't ruin my experience at all, indeed was the oposite, because I get so hyped

uh, neither was a lot of the stuff in the manga. if we're basing things off that, they they shouldn't have looked at the last scene of S2E12 because it shows the Beast Titan's human ten episodes (and twenty chapters since a lot was cut out of S3P1) before it does in the manga. I think it's fine and well worth any correct theories they make. I'd prefer it to the opening of S3Part 2 at least

I don't know why you want them to have a good reaction to a teaser at the cost of the main show. Wasn't in the manga and ruins it. Doesn't give enough info to accurately speculate anything and then as soon as the reactors have enough pieces they immediately put it together. My opinion it's a decent reaction but not at the cost of giving every reactor I've seen the ability to call out something one~two full episodes beforehand. "It's fun for speculation, an intense visceral experience" the entire ride involves speculation and is a visceral experience, now you're just giving them more info beforehand and it seems like we usually want to avoid giving reactors extra info so this is odd.

I vote for watching the credits of S3E12! it's fun for speculation, an intense visceral experience, and is a good way to separate the two parts of S3 (as it covers two separate arcs of the manga with very different tones). as others have said it's up to you, but I will say many reactors watch it and it's always an entertaining reaction. for full disclosure I think Filmbuff did say he regretted watching it, but at the same time it made for good content seeing him analyze the heck out of it. ultimately if you skip watching it you can watch it after, but it won't be part of that first reaction and that's my ted talk on why you should watch the credits of episode 12.

We were also offered trailers but I don't think watching a trailer before watching the main release improves the first time watching experience. It's just a teaser for part 2 and they should make their decision based on that.

Yea, now that I think about it it’s probably a better idea for them to watch it if they want to. The only reason I originally said I didn’t think it was a good idea was because people keep that end credits scene in mind throughout the rest of the season, which imo takes a little bit away from the shock value they would get if they had not watched those end credits. But at the end of the day it really doesn’t matter all that much tbh. Watching it would definitely make a sick reaction tho

I think it's ridiculous to limit watching what was actually aired. That's what we as first-time viewers following the show as it aired were offered, so it's totally fine to watch it as long as it's not out of order like watching OVAs too early.

They should definitely watch it. It was included with reasonable amounts of misdirection and is a wonderful end point for part 1. It's just my opinion, but I don't think it's worth missing the content of their reaction. In the worst-case scenario, they put together a solid theory, but with no context of how it comes about, which is what the credit scene is going for, anyways

Just a note on what Mikasa said about her knowing she can only care about so many people thanks to her enemies, she said 6 years ago, because she was actually talking about a year before the walls broke when her parents killed. So her being "ready to kill her enemies" (which isn't even true, she has more compassion that she realizes because she's already allowed Reiner, Bert, Ymir and Historia to live when it would be easier to kill them according to her philosophy, that's what her arc is about this season) isn't because of what Reiner and Bert did, it's more so an extension of the mindset she was forced to accept when those kidnappers almost sold her off and she had to kill them to escape

after the flashback of Ymir's childhood, you were supposed to watch an OVA related to that it's called (ilse notebook OVA) it's a side episode that is very very important

They should definitely not watch that credit scene, it’s literally just a way to tease Part 2 to the viewers (and part 2 is already out) so it serves literally no purpose other than to spoil an event they’ll get to see soon anyway

A lot of reactors and myself included prefer to skip over OP's and ED's of a show we're watching as well as avoid trailers and other previews/teasers. Personal preference. Considering it was after the credits and going into a 6 month break between seasons where as LM will be watching the next season within less than a week I think your suggestion could definitely be considered optional and skippable. In my mind it was a teaser for the audience who was watching it during it's first airing and should be skipped.

I've thought a lot about that too tbh, whether someone should watch the 3x12 post-credits or not. I think either way is fine, however I actually feel like me seeing that made the actual moment even a bit more intense, like "gasp oh shit this is the scene, that makes so much sense now". But that scene is impactful even if you don't see the post-credits, so either way it'll be good.

Well we are just at the end of the season 2, no need to talk about the season 3 episode 12 yet. I guess there are several manners to enjoy the show but not every one of them are suits to everybody. Most of the time, this kind of comments are the spoiler themselves! If you say to someone, don't watch this or don't watch that, when they will do it, they will take more attention in order to discover the truth or some spoilers about it. If you did not say anything, they will never even try to look for something or figure it out that something is hidding or reveal in those scenes. I did not know anything about the OP and I manange to watch all the opening and ending without being spoil. After the show, I realized some clues, but that was hopefully after seeing the episodes

They will not and also the show intended for viewers to see it. People need to stop trying to edit the show because they've already seen it. I can somewhat understand not seeing the OP for the second half of S3 but there is no reason to not watch the end scene for episode 12.
