The Legend of Korra 2x14 Full Reaction

One can’t live without the other raava light started growing back in jinora, she has a strong connection to the spirits which will show more in season 3

Elder

my headcannon is that she held Wan's teapot and used its light power to spark up raava

Alihan Kasap

Duh. But again. Its about Korra. Doesnt matter who is "loveable" people seem to lose track of the fact that this is Korra, not damned Avatar 2. Thats why people who love aang I kind of dread because then if they go into Korra, they will just want the sequel to Aangs story. But in terms of development, her lack of her past lives only can push her forward to make better decisions for the world. So it was beneficial, although traumatic.

Kinda sadistic ngl. Guess it wasn't Roku's time during Aang's story either? Even though it was thoughtfully intertwined. There's nothing wrong with having attachment to more loveable characters from the previous series. And just because the writers could've doesn't mean they should've.

Jared Brock

Because the protagonist said herself that the connection is gone?? Besides by now they have probably seen the first episode of season 3 so they should already know that it's gone. I know they love aang but they need the dreams crushed cause it's Korras time, not aangs lol πŸ˜…

Lorenzo Baxter

In what way is this not a spoiler ???

GYRECK GAMING

Lol probably so. I just look for avatar reactions so it makes sense we run back into each other πŸ˜…

Lorenzo Baxter

yo lorenzo did i see u in letts reacts comments cuz i feel like we watch the same people lol

GodKingSosa

No actually. Read the avatar comics. He's got an interesting history. Corrupted at best. Not evil.

Lorenzo Baxter

Yeah, there's been a lot of fan speculation posted as fact in the Wiki before, and it seems like they've done a good job more recently of removing stuff like that unless people can provide sources. My memory is that Bryke themselves didn't really have a definitive answer as to HOW Jinora was doing what she did, just that she allowed Korra to find the light spirit within Unavaatu. Also, I think what Luis was referring to was that we've already seen a character sacrifice themselves to become a spirit (Yue).

Ryan Lake

There are evil spirits. Koh the face stealer is 100% evil.

Luis

Done what before?

ZedW

edit: Apparently the Wiki no longer says it was the butterfly.

ZedW

The connection is gone. Not spoilers but no its done. No more past lives which is kind of good. She can't use it as a crutch and she has to think as her own person. But this was all about Korra, not the avatar that's why she was able to beat Vaatu. And just don't forget, there are no evil spirits. Like Unalaq said, there is light and dark in them all. But if there are dark spirits, we'll thats where the avatar comes in to help. Thankfully, Nickelodeon gave the writers two more seasons together. So no more rushed things and the next two seasons will feel more connected.

Lorenzo Baxter

Good thing to be aware of is that this too was supposed to be and was meant to be the final season of Korra + Avatar Universe from the contract Nickelodeon signed on with the creators. So the story was impacted and written with that in mind.

Oliver Borg

Poor TenzinπŸ˜‚

PamRenea

Ahhh the hope in their eyes/voice as they believed the past lives would still be there. Same girls, same.....for everyone. ;-;

SupremeCai

plus they've done it before so repetitive

Luis

In the Wiki, it says she had a light spirit (the butterfly) and when it arrived it was used to reveal the tiny spark of light in Vaatu. (I originally thought she was going to "become" the "new" light spirit. when I told my screen writing professor at the time he said "That would be an amazing choice, but 1. Nickelodeon, and 2. It would kill Tenzin.")

ZedW

i felt the same way apon my first watch back in the day but then i remembered what the lion turtle said to aang and it made sense after darkness always yields to purified light aka jinora being so pure and nocent with harmonic convergence amplifying all the spirit energy in the world it made sense at that point for me. but enough about book 2 lets get to book 3 its time for the best book in all of avatar lets go all aboard the hype train

GodKingSosa

I was honestly confused as to how Jinora go the light. I wish there was a quick scene that showed at least what her plan was. Because she Deus Ex Machina that thing.
