Wrong, actually. There are plenty of people that avoid watching openings. Me included. I never watch openings, and didn't for Attack on Titan either. Japanese audiences are completely fine with spoilers. You should watch some Japanese youtube channels, where they talk about movies. Search for this on YT: 映画紹介, and click on any link about a specific movie. Even if you don't speak Japanese, you'll see... They'll literally show and describe 3/4 of a movie, I KID YOU NOT. They only keep the conclusion a secret. And it's fine for Japanese people. And clearly the majority of viewers agree it's best to not watch this particular opening. Also, this is LITERALLY a reaction channel, on patreon, where people pay money for this. And you're saying people are "obsessed with a pure reaction." The irony.

If people would just shut up about what 'is' and 'is not' a spoiler, a debate like this wouldn't be an issue. S1 P2 had the female titan, the titan spear cannons... S2 had the beast titan, Ymir and her titan, Armored titan. Without acknowledging whether anything is spoilers or not, everything seen in an opening is purely speculative. Go back to season 2's opening again, they put some crazy shit in there that was never actually a part of the story--Beast titan running across a field with fucking dinosaurs and flying whales, the Colossal Titan dropping a mountain on the Survey Corps. If any of that stuff was actually a part of the season, you're telling me we should tell them not to watch the opening because of spoilers?!? How the fuck would they know.

But with that said, everyone has already told you, so at this point you would be aware of them and it would be better to skip to not ruin your experience

2021-08-17 18:20:56 +0000 UTCI think the main problem is that the community has been shouting loud and clear that this opening contains spoils and suddenly everyone is in the know. I remember when I watched this arc I wasn't spoiled at all or couldn't guess what was going to happen because I didn't think there were any spoils or a hidden meaning to the images of this opening. After seeing the whole of season 3, obviously, I quickly realized that this opening contained all the hidden truths of the episodes of this arc but if we don't know it at the beginning, we don't think at all to look for all the clues. !! I'm disappointed because they won't be able to experience this season with a great opening and great music because that's how we should watch this anime. The ideal would be to watch the opening but with a little distant gaze without trying to go deeper or think about each image but now it's very difficult to do! I am really disappointed for her! An opening is still an important element of an anime!

The real reveals of part 2 are not going to be in the opening and anything they show there is the sort of thing you could easily assume was going to be part of that season

Skipping it will get the best reactions out of you. The opening is simply a bunch of master scenes gathered from the first 7 episodes of the season, and if you watch the opening, you may start concluding what will happen while watching the episodes.
