@Saumyadeep What are you talking about? Nope. I never watch anime openings. I skipped ALL 4 openings until the last episode of every season. Because I know that they spoil shit. They are put there because Japanese audiences don't care about spoilers. You've seen Vinland Saga? It's considered one of the best animes of 2019. Want me to tell you who dies? It's an important character. You shouldn't mind me telling you, BECAUSE IT'S IN THE OPENING. And it's bullshit... Thankfully, like I said, I always avoid the openings, so I wasn't spoiled when I watched that anime. So I voted NOT to watch the opening, but I ABSTAINED from voting whether they should or shouldn't watch the end credit scene of ep 12, because I didn't know what the correct answer was. I only tell them 2 things: Stuff I did myself while watching the anime, and stuff that the anime already revealed to them, and therefore not a spoiler. That's it. I'm not manipulating or contradicting anything.

2021-09-05 21:26:40 +0000 UTC@ODIS well you are contradicting yourself here having watched the show and voting and commenting for them not to see the opening or shall I say manipulating their viewing experience despite the fact that it is an opening for an anime and was kept there to be seen. We all have seen it. No point of continuing the discussion so just end it

2021-09-01 17:03:45 +0000 UTCwell apart from the one time they were spoiled, their patrons haven't taken it too far yet. if someone does, many reply telling them to knock it off. and I was definitely not the first person to clarify that Frieda was not a mindless titan. I saw at least three other comments before, I just wanted to reiterate to explain how it was impossible. I understand your sentiment but it makes no sense when you consider things like them skipping the OP of Part 2 and such. like that's proof they aren't having a 'pure' experience with no interaction from the fans. so some things being clarified is fine if it's really really minor and also really really obvious. like in S2 episode 4 when Lola thought for a second that one of the captains was Sasha. if she thought that for the whole episode and then thought that Sasha died because that character died when Beast Titan threw the rock, and talked about it in the discussion, I think it would be justified for someone to comment "That wasn't Sasha".

2021-09-01 11:08:12 +0000 UTCyeah those are fine, I wasn't saying to change it just letting them know how the fan lingo transpired.

2021-09-01 11:04:45 +0000 UTCDiscussing and clarifying plot points on a reaction channel is not the way to interact imo. There are other ways to interact than discussing plot such as commenting on how much fun the theories are or appreciating the time and effort L+M put into making these reactions for us. Or talking about how their reactions and theories bring forth different emotions. I unfortunately disagree with you Tom on how often you clarify plot points and discuss plot. I think it's too much. I don't think you're spoiling, but not directly spoiling isn't the only way to take away from the experience.

2021-09-01 09:39:19 +0000 UTCNever heard the term Titan Shifter. Dumb Titan and Smart Titan. Those are good enough ways to separate them imo.

2021-09-01 03:05:46 +0000 UTC@ Saumyadeep Bhattacharjee You can't say you're part of the discussion when you've seen the show. It automatically puts you outside. You're like a parent who has more knowledge watching children figure stuff out. And this is a reaction channel. So, commenting on their theories is fine, but giving input BECAUSE you have more info... that's debatable.

2021-09-01 03:00:09 +0000 UTCAlso not to be egotistical but I think I strike the balance well. There's a lot more I could clarify but I don't because I know what is saying too much and what is unnecessary

2021-08-30 20:20:18 +0000 UTCThis isn't background or history of the titans though? It's something that won't ever come up again, and they have been given ample reasons to understand. It's just a quick "Hey this isn't important but just so you know it's this". Again, it's not like I'm spoiling anything or going "You should be supsicious of Reiner" before S2E6

2021-08-30 20:19:19 +0000 UTCIt robs us of nothing @Camzeee, we are part of the discussion as well and we can give our inputs as long as its not spoiling anything. Its a community which encourages discussion and theories. What he said didn't spoil anything Infact if there is some detail that they miss(which they don't normally and didn't in this case as well) and because of us they realise it will create fuel for more theories and discussions . Highlighting this and barring people to communicate is not a good sign please understand. I have never seen any paranoid fanbase in any other fandom like I have seen for AOT. Please don't mind and forgive me if I've hurt anyone's feelings from what I have written.

2021-08-30 12:12:49 +0000 UTCI disagree. We will get further clarification. Just confirming or denying almost anything about the background and history of titans is not good imo. At the very least it robs us of the most outlandish theories, which are the most fun, if they've read your comments.
Camzeee
2021-08-30 08:41:44 +0000 UTCif it was something like "you guys missed how Reiner got caught in the Female Titan's hand and escaped, wasn't that suspicious???" then yeah, but this is something really minor that's fine to clarify. I think I strike the balance enough, because you're not going to exactly get further clarification on this
tom
2021-08-30 05:22:22 +0000 UTCI think it is not fair to remind them of every single detail they have missed! Itβs part of watching experience, to miss things then understand them with time. We all have missed things in this show, much more than them, let them have the same experience

2021-08-30 04:06:56 +0000 UTCIt's just a name. But I think clarifying all the time isn't good anyhow. Common knowledge or not. It'll all become clear in time. I'll delete my earlier comment because you're right I'm just adding to the problem. Just be mindful!

2021-08-29 12:17:54 +0000 UTC"The girl" aka Frieda wasn't a dumb titan, remember she bit her hand and that's how Eren learnt to do it, from her memories. "Their memories will teach you how to use this power". Also if you're curious the terms the fandom uses are "mindless titan" and "titan shifter" aka shifter, to refer to people who can shift between human and titan forms
