That’s because it wasn’t a problem back then

Daniel LT

I deleted it. Even though I don't think I said anything spoiler-y.

Jyn Jilly

Ok my bad, I'll delete it.

Jyn Jilly

Shut up.

Adam Young

some of them go deeper into the personality of some characters and complement the experience of future episodes. For this reason I think it would be better to watch the OVAs as the series progresses rather than wait until the end of the series.

Raziel_BBT

Even saying that something will happen on this or this episode is a spoiler, so please don't

Valco

I really do hope they watch the OVAs! They're all good in different ways.

cosmotron

I think it's easier to point out episodes when they are NOT going to cry

BBT

Don't even like Post things like this. They should not be expecting anything to happen on any episode.

Calvin Delaney

Jyn Jilly

More Alphonse impressions please

YatoKing

You are soooooo overprotective of Al and Ed it's ridiculous hahaha :D Can't wait to see you react to future episodes!

Nikodem

Pinako is a long-time friend of their father. She mentioned it herself in a episode where Ed, Al and Armstrong visited Resembool. So not just some old neighbour lady :)

Nikodem

Honestly I can understand leaving your children behind for many reasons (if it’s better for them) but you need to make sure they will be safe and he didn’t do that. I don’t think it’s right to not send letters, to not come to their mother burial, to just « hope » the old neighbour lady will take care of them. They were just lucky the teacher took them and Pinacko is still alive. What would have happened to them otherwise ?

Luna lanes

I just want to say I love your analyses of shows and your understanding of characters. I learn new things from you guys all the time! :)

Harfie

Most people just call it "Brotherhood" ladies. Haha you can try that.

Kamina 1

I don't recall them having this much issue with Hakoda.

Soma Zöld

I just noticed, Ed was never bothered when his Mom called him a "little man". Its obvious but kind of cute that she is the only one that can get away with it

CirithUngol

Lmao Lola hates hohenheim with passion

Mr Joker

You can hear from the lyrics how Ed blames himself for everything (lowkey crying)

CirithUngol

I was NOT prepared for Lola voice acting looooool more, more!

Isaac

And then you realize that song is actually Ed and Al talking to each other in the different stanzas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfAEMal84ag Standalone English version

Arshan

The word monster was used more than once hahaha (also thanks for indirectly correcting my spelling of his name, I was guessing the whole way)

Mahni Alizadeh

The first twenty minutes of the discussion was basically an emotional execution on Van Hohenheim. :D I'm looking forward to the first time we see him in the presence.

Robert H.

Damn, Lola is NOT a fan of Hoenheim lol. Definitely looking forward to how that plays out

Mahni Alizadeh

I was waiting for this ep. The "It's OK to hurt" line always gets me real misty :(

Mahni Alizadeh

You just appreciate the anime so much more as an adult when you see how they managed to pass on such adult themes to kids / young teenagers, whereas Avatar was still made for younger kids in my opinion. You see characters die quite often here (Nina, her father, Ishval war, Liore civil uprising, Hughes, Trisha Elric, ...), which even Legends of Korra strongly avoided, in which the "camera" moves far away from the scenery or turns away.

Robert H.

It just goes to show how good this show is that, even after so many rewatches, this episode ALWAYS makes me tear up. I was crying with you guys!! I've been excited to see your reaction to this episode! <3

Alyssa

L&M: If we ever see the father it will be a close-up scene on his eyes with an evil look in a dark environment. *moments later they start watching and the first scene was exactly what they expected*. That was psychic!

Mohammed Al Jamal

now you can watch all the 4 OVAs if you want: - One is about Ed, Al and Winry. - One is a side story about a character that doesn't show in the main plot - One is about Mustang - And the last one is about their teacher All of them are about past events and there is no particular order to watch any of them. It would be nice if you pick one of them to watch from time to time

Raziel_BBT

@CirithUngol THANK YOU!

Mohammed Al Jamal

It's actually quite interesting what the truth takes away from the people who dare to open the portal. I'm just unsure right now if it explains the show itself or if it becomes apparent through interpretation. So I won't say anything more about it.

Robert H.

It’s also SUPER underrated. Even if you’re not someone who is hooked by the premise, trust in the strength of Hiromu Arakawa’s writing. While it doesn’t get dark in the way FMA does, it still can really hit you in your emotions.

cosmotron

The author of the manga is from a family of farmers, so she likes writing stories about life and sacrifice. The manga she created after FMA is based on her own experience and it's about an agricultural high school: Gin no Saji or Silver Spoon.

Smanuelle

To think how good the show is already at this point and there’s still so much to get into.

Ian Mitchell

Btw I just remembered, you HAVE to listen to this masterpiece soundtrack from the original FMA. It's really amazing! The original composition was in Russian, but here is the translated version sung by the person who voices Ed (starts at 3:42) in both shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVJLmcaeEdM WARNING: have tissues lol PS: there are No Spoilers.

CirithUngol

Any news on the poll? :)
