I know it's not on Netflix in the US. Probably not in Canada, either. Season 4 came out on Netflix in the US two weeks before Season 5 started airing on AMC. I believe Netflix is the international distributor outside of North America, so that's likely why it's on Netflix in most of the world while AMC has the TV rights here.

I am 100% sure Nacho murdered people before this. He's not some third-rate dealer like Jesse at the beginning of BB, he's in the cartel and he's important. Remember that he was in Tuco the homicidal maniac's crew. Tuco's. Crew. I know he's likeable as hell, I love him, but he is much more of a hardened criminal than Jesse ever was. He may be a good person deep down (whatever the hell this means), but what is happening to him are the consequences of his own actions. And of course Gus will use Ignacio and treat him like a piece of shit. I get so angry when people put Gus above Walter when it comes to morals. They are both colossal assholes. Gus did not conduct his business the way he did, because he didn't want people to get hurt out of the goodness of his heart. It just was the safest way and Gus didn't have Walter's colossal ego to get in the way. I also think he DEFINETELY knew about that children were dealing for him and I wouldn't rule out that he ordered the asshole dealers to kill Andrea's brother. Ruthless man. But that's just my opinion.

That's weird, where do you live?

Quite a Ride :D

Pretty sure you've said this but looks like the show is drawing a parallel between Mike's son and Nachos dad. Just hope it's not the same outcome and Nacho can protect his dad!

random thoughts: 1) I love how excited and animated you guys get whenever Kim and Nacho are on screen because I have the exact same reaction, lol! Particularly Kim, I'm obsessed with her. 2) That opening scene with Matty broke my heart. One of only two scenes in BCS that made me tear up. 3) Mike was visibly upset at group therapy when Stacey was talking. He has not come to terms with Matty's death AT ALL, clearly hates being there and is only doing it to please Stacey. He doesn't see any benefit in dredging up painful memories, he'd rather distract himself and not think about it rather than "wallow in misery" as he thinks everyone else is doing. Jimmy probably has a similar view of therapy. Why the hell would he want to sit there and talk about Chuck with some random stranger for an hour? He'd have to be open and vulnerable and face some harsh truths about himself, and he will NEVER let that happen. 4) My favorite part of the show is the second half of season 4 and ALL of season 5. So yayyyyy! 5) I'm so excited for [redacted]. No need to elaborate, everyone knows what I'm talking about lol.

If someone calls 911, but then they say no, don't you get a cop car to your house anyway?

This is exactly what makes the show so good, it's so mature and consistent in keeping the characters organic that everything feels as though it could happen in real life. By design it's not a show that grabs your attention, you have to be patient with the storytelling, and if you are, you're rewarded witb one of the best shows on TV right now.

Really happy to see the ladies understand the scene with Kim & the Judge (of course they did, they’re both awesome when it comes to analysis). So many reactors get that scene completely wrong, assuming the judge was just being an ass to Kim when in reality, he was actually trying to help her and advise her, basically trying to lessen the guilt she obviously had over just representing a bank and not doing anything more noble like for example, public defending. He was reminding her that in the real world, if you can land a great client that pays you a lot, that’s ok, too. Don’t have this existential crisis over it lol But of course, Kim being Kim, she’s gonna do things her way.

👏👏👏 Really well said. The level of detail to which the show is written is insanely high. I enjoyed reading your synopsis 🙂

It was only through watching today's reaction video that I noticed how upset Mike is. What an amazingly powerful scene.

One of the best episodes of the season, and a personal favourite of mine overall. God I just love the feeling of the show. When the pace is this deliberate and the plot unbound to a central motivation (ie. the descent of an ordinary man into an evil meth king), the show has so much more breathing room. It feels like a real world where things happens regardless of whether or not it pleases or even interests you, and is so much more compelling because of that. Better Call Saul is a masterclass in writing. Its only demerit is that it is unfortunately compared to its predecessor. It's a completely different show that deserves recognition in its own right. I will be utterly heartbroken when the show ends, I'll be re-watching it for years to come. And I'm so glad that through both the girls' channel and this Patreon community that I have people to share this love with!

I love the following episodes.

Depends on where in the world you live.

I don't think that the people in group are wallowing in their misery like Mike said. When we met Anita last season she had gotten to the point where she was able to get rid of her husband's things. Now she's asking Mike to go to concerts with her. And Stacey went from someone who was hearing gunshots in the middle of the night to not spending every waking moment thinking about Matty, and she's told by the group that she shouldn't be ashamed of that. Mike gets visibly upset at first because of what Stacey says about Matty before the guy even brings up his fake dead wife. Mike's the one not allowing himself to move on.

S5 isn't on netflix

Remember when you two were so happy to see Gus again? Haha It's never outright stated how Gus knows that Mike knew about Nacho's plan but there is a logical reason why Gus has figured all of this out if you look at the timeline of season 2 (and it ties into why Gus clocked onto the switching of the pills too). We know Gus started having Mike tracked in season 2 before the truck robbery (I'm assuming it began after he heard about Mike threatening Hector with a gun). After the robbery happened Nacho met with Mike to find out if he was the one who did it. So Gus's men would have 100% seen that meeting, and it's pretty much confirmed in Mike and Gus's first conversation in season 3. Gus knows that Mike wanted to kill Hector because he murdered an innocent man who was helping the truck driver. But Mike left the scene after the robbery and would have never known about that if Nacho hadn't told him. So the only way for Gus to make that assumption is if he knew about the meeting between them after the robbery. But then that would also mean that Gus would've figured out that the Mike and Tuco fight wasn't an accident. Why would Nacho meet with the random man that Tuco beat up? Gus would've pieced together that Nacho paid Mike to do that to get Tuco in prison. And that leads to Gus noticing Nacho's reaction to Hector's two attacks last season. In episode 9 Nacho's face is subtle but there is disappointment there when Hector doesn't collapse and they make a point of showing Gus noticing that. So then in the finale when Hector collapses and then Nacho immediately goes for the pills it becomes obvious to Gus. I don't think that Gus 100% knows that Mike knew about Nacho's pill plan but he assumes that if he intimidates Mike he'll get the truth and then leverage that to make him do a job for him. But what he doesn't realize is that Mike is in a very dark place in this moment and doesn't give a fuck about anything so intimidation isn't needed. It almost reminds me of Chuck assuming that Jimmy would try to break in at night to steal the recording and then Jimmy just showing up pissed in broad daylight.

Who's best boy now? Nacho or Jesse
