Attack on Titan 4x15 Reaction

sorry we had to rush this, i have more thoughts we'll talk about it before 4x16

Attack on Titan 4x15 Reaction

Comments

I have seen a lot of reactions of AOT in Youtube, but your reactions are the best by so fucking far. My first time using patreon only for you!

Antonio Navarro Sanz

It really wouldn’t spoil them most anime onlys that have watched it only know about there is going to be fighting and wondering what gonna happen to Levi. Other than that not much else was shown in the trailer where you could be spoiled.

Harrison Allen

Part 2 trailer would spoil tbh I’d rather them not watch it

Sebastian

I´m really gonna miss you 2 times a week but 2nd part of the season is just around the corner. YOU SHOULD watch the trailer of the 2nd part with us!

Jose Ramon Rodriguez

Watching zeke and Reiner stories makes you realize that eren and the others actually had a better childhood despite everything bad that happened to them. The perfect example is gricha as a father to eren against gricha as a father to zeke

El hombre

You have understood only half the plan. You forgot Zeke also wants to "save the world from Titans". The world is afraid of Titans and their potential to destroy the world. Zeke's plan is definitely the best to minimize casualties, save future Eldians from suffering, and save the world. Personally, I am with Eren. "Because I was born into this world" Eldians have every right to Defend themselves using what ever means possible. They are the victims currently, they want Peace but the World only wants War. So, hopefully Eren sticks with that, especially since Sadies told Eren how his mother had said "He is already special, because he was born into this world."

Drake Rage

Of course that was Magath. In Season 4, Willy said Magath was leading the "Warrior Program" since the beginning. I believe that was Willy giving credit to Magath for being the Supervisor for training the current generation of Warriors, which started with Zeke. They have also said this generation of Warriors have been a lot better than past Warriors, so Magath does deserve credit there. The Warriors themselves have their own goals/secrets that made them strong. Reiner's determination, Annie's Will to survive and make it back to her Dad, Zeke's Plans+Royal Blood, etc.

Drake Rage

thank you!

szepi79

Totally agree! Zeke shouldn't get to force his death wish on others in the name of the "greater good", when he's enjoyed killing his own people i.e. Erwin, Marlo and all the boulder babes. RIP guys.

Katie Jane

@Merfhew I think that's the point they're making. People act like things LM do or don't watch, or whether they watch them in sub or dub are really serious decisions.

Katie Jane

Yeah, it can be easy to believe that Zeke's plan is the path of least resistance in a mass of possible outcomes that are way more violent. But what the show tells us time and again is that even in that supernaturally cruel world, life can still be worth enduring. Like the Owl said to Grisha, "love someone inside the walls". Grisha got a second chance at family without titan or restorationist interference for 13 years. Mikasa chose to live to carry on Eren's memory in season 1. Even Reiner couldn't end his life because he had Gabi and Falco to think about, and on the day of the festival he got to experience what a normal life with them would be like. Eren has his friends. Zeke had Ksaver. They all have varying ideas for how to save the world, but they're all driven by love in some way, even in the face of the extreme violence and pain they endure. So, who gets to say Eldians don't deserve to live and experience the good that they can? The logical conclusion Zeke's philosophy reaches is death to everyone, because in that mindset there is no way for everyone to coexist peacefully. The extreme version of the philosophy in my comment is Uri's (or the founder of the walls' vow against war), which isn't productive either, but the show seems to be all about taking ideologies to the extreme. It's a very messy, painful thought experiment. It would be easier to endure if the characters weren't all so fucking good. I hate seeing any of them go.

Katie Jane

the soundtrack and story telling for this episode makes it hit 10x harder ugh i love him

Gigi

Do you fear homeless ppl, do you hate them, would you feel no remorse in killing them? Being a starving ppl or a poor ppl is not the same as being feared and hated by the rest of the world :) Zeke just wants no more babies.

JJ Walker

@szepi79: "...and the world is still here" --- How is that relevant? Believe it or not, our planet's existence doesn't depend on Lola and Milena's watching habits.

Merfhew

I hope not. I'd rather they go in blindly.

Merfhew

Impossible question: Who is your favorite: Armin or Kim Wexler?

Bryan Givens

Where did you see anyone asking to be spoiled here?

Lullabymeyourstory

The better solution is peace, the ending of racism, xenophobia, nationalism, totalitarianism, utilitarianism, and conflict. Then all nations feed the starving African children. I would never have children myself, but euthanization of Eldia is a form of mercy killing. The nihilistic philosophy of Zeke's solution is entirely understandable. But it denies the choice of the Eldian people and in a way killing the future people not yet born does the work of Marley and the world for them all.

David Caine

Attack on Titan: Junior High would be the perfect follow up. They will get all of the references too~!!! I would love to see that series of reactions.

David Caine

whats a better solution then?

Jaqcues

they are not they are pronouncing it the way they do in the show

BOBBY

Once again, they are not dumb. If you really think that suggesting "different interpretations" of something when they know that some people read the manga is not a spoiler, then you're just delusional. That has actually happened before and they mentioned it. Of course replying that it's a spoiler doesn't help, that's why he shouldn't write comments like these to begin with

Anonyme Anonyme

It seems there are apparently spoilers in the replies to a comment here not the main comment only the replies to it. Maybe don’t read any of the replies to any of the comments on this video.

Melkor

Your comment is not a spoiler. The other comments that flags your comment as a spoiler, ARE the spoilers!

Mohammed Al Jamal

How are they still pronouncing Reiner wrong

James Burge

Same for me this episode got him from not even in the top 10 for me to being like top 2 or 3.

Melkor

One thing that I think and I don’t know what’s going to happen in part 2 at least nothing related to Zeke. But to me Eren has always been for Freedom and that there is no greater gift than being born in this world for the first 3 seasons he has been like that. So for him to say there is no greater salvation then not being born seems a bit strange and out of character for Eren I don’t know if they are fully together on everything. Just my thoughts because I went back in seasons after this to look at Eren and he has always been the complete opposite of how he was in this episode.

Melkor

You saw a lot of Younger Magath in this episode behind Zeke when he was talking with Reiner and Berthold on a ship but also when he was young it seems he was one of the people overlooking the training of Marley’s soldiers or warriors. Or if I’m wrong then let me know it definitely looked like Magath.

Melkor

Lol I thought you deleted your comment, but it seems like you're just stubborn. It is a spoiler because you obviously know what happens. And whether you think it should be obvious or not, they didn't mention it, so you're spoiling them by "suggesting" a "different interpretation"

Anonyme Anonyme

I will never understand why people keep begging to be spoiled like that

Anonyme Anonyme

It's not weird if you think about in the context of, Eren knows things that we the audience do not, he's had 3 years of the founding titans memories and the attack titans memories. He also is getting glimpses of the future, Eren is very noticeably different, it's not weird at all that he could think this way now.

Robert

"sterilization" plan would be better but you could also think of it as euthanization of the eldian race as a whole.

lasagnaman

because it's ADDITIONAL ANALYSIS from what is presented at face value in the text. Don't make connections for them.

lasagnaman

There actually isn't any moderation capabilities on Patreon. What happened is something that has happened to me, where for some reason comments of a certain length are flagged as spam on here and just auto deleted.

Serodin

Because if they can't figure it out themselves, just let them be shocked when they find out the truth

iu

Why was my comment deleted? I literally didn't say anything that was even remotely spoilery. All I said was Eren just randomly going along with Zeke's plan is a complete 180 and an antithesis to his whole character that was built up for 4 seasons. How is this a spoiler? Someone explain to me because I don't understand.

dasdasdasdas dasdasdas

RIP LEVI

Sean Carroll

I agree it's wrong but don't lie about his plan because it suits your ideology. If he thought they should let Marley wipe them out then he would just do that. He obviously wants to minimize suffering, and that suffering includes being invaded and killed

tom

yeah exactly, its like saying lets euthanize the poorest people in Africa to stop all those " starving children" which is exactly the same as zeke's plan... just in the real world. if we euthanize them then yeah we wont have more starving African children but at the end of the day, what right do we have to take that away from them? isn't it better to try our best to fix the situation and try our best to help the starving children, or in this case the eldians? like why not try to make peace with others even if they are titans, I mean after all the outside world doesn't have to fear titans for much longer thanks to the advancement of their technologies. which means eldians won't be a big threat to the world no more than a world power like America or China would be. sure they are powerful but not unbeatable. the technology is getting there.

Aj99

i sure hope you guys watch a more lighthearted series after this, i worry for your hearts lmao

Lucie McCoy

best episode of the season, but zekes plan is profoundly wrong. If suffering means its better to have never been born, then kill all the homeless, kill all the poor, Eren should give up and let Marley murder paradise they are suffering after all. To take the philosophy of zekes to its logical conclusion, you must believe all human should go extinct because life is suffering. There is no level of genocide that would not be justified by his ideas

joshua

You don't really need to be a manga reader to know that, it's exactly like you said, 3 season of even seeking freedom, moving forward and saying what you said. Manga reader or not it's super weird that Eren just says that after talking with Zeke. Remember that that flashback is before he attacked Marley, probably 2 o 3 days before (he has the baseball in Episode 4 and in that same night he attacked) , he talked with Zeke so idk, I believe that Eren has his own plan, but he need the royal blood. We will see in like a month.

Mati D.

Aot one of those shows where every character is some form of victim to the world they been born in. Zeke, whos been the villain for literally s2-s3 and even s4 until now we realize how bad it was for him.

Danny

Was so sad for Zeke, this was painful to relive

Patrick Wotton

This episode doesn't get enough love! One of my favs

Chris V

I mean, with the reflexes Levi has, I'm surprised he couldn't move fast enough to stop Zeke or get away, but oh well. It's not really a big deal.

Jacob

Ok so i don't read the manga so if you did, please do not answer this comment whoever reading this. But isn't it weird that Eren would agree with Zeke's plan ? Like he's been repeating that he does everything he has to because " he was born into this world " and that was like his main line to justify him fighting so hard for everything. And in this season, he rejected Zeke's first proposition about Historia having to have as many children as she can etc. because he felt like it was them living as cattles and not being free. So it seems weird to me that Eren would be okay with the fact of Eldians not being able to reproduce and slowly dying to exctinction because that's more or less the same and him saying "there's no greater salvation than never being born into this world" really feels off to me. That's something i would never thought i'd hear from Eren. Like i could be totally wrong here but idk is it possible that Eren lied or something ? Or did he really changed his mind recently? Sh*t this is complicated

Lullabymeyourstory

BUT, despite his painful up growing, his actions were always terrible to me, considering the 'greater good' issue. I always remember Levi's words: "You may or may not want to save Eldia, but those lives meant nothing to you". Zeke commit war crime after war crime, he mocks people death's and use that 'I saved lives' bullshit to shake off the guilt from him. His plan is a way to cope his own personal pain, he is willing to decide the extintion of Eldia on his own.

ajoenpolvo

Zeke's backstory, as for anyone in this fucking show, is so tragic. We can understand why he came up to be who he is now, and what his goals are.

ajoenpolvo

i think zeke’s plan does account for eldians currently alive because of the conditions he set earlier: test rumbling to show the world what the rumbling is, have founding titan passed down and historia has children to keep the rumbling threat active until the eldians all die narrowly

Sam

New member!!! Love you two! You have had the best reactions/analysis of this show by far 🥰🤙

Josh Medina

I get why ppl prefer "sterilization" but the "euthanization" is referring to Zeke/Ksaver's wish to have the Eldian race die out in a peaceful way (plus it's a form of genocide) - though I agree it's wishful thinking that the rest of the world would leave them alone. I'll also point out the main reason the rest of the world hates the Eldians so much is probably because Marley uses Eldians as weapons to conquer those countries. In other words, Marley's at fault for that too.

s

@Cloudy yes, it's kinda cute. It's hard to find Zeke cute after everthing he did but man, after seeing his backstory... he deserved better parents

sand_fl

"I'm about to throw this fucking TV", pure frustration.

Mati D.

As much as I love Erwin he isn’t untouchable, he completely lost to Annie in season 1 and would have never found out who she was if not for Armin. Although his track record from seasons 2 & 3 is pretty untouchable.

TakeTheCannoli

Yep, Grisha offered to show the basement to Eren only after him saying he wanted to join the survey corp. He didn't force his beliefs on Eren like he did with Zeke.

AndreasZ

Of course I'm confirming it's a spoiler, that's why I expect him to delete his comment. And stop thinking they're dumb, it's clear that he knows better with his tone and assurance.

Anonyme Anonyme

You guys realize that saying it's a spoiler when the comment sounds more like a theory/deduction is almost confirming its true. And yes i know i did the same just now so will delete this comment soon.

AndreasZ

I love how they say his name in Japanese. It's cute. "Jikku"

Tom Ksaver actually knew Grisha since he was a child. In the end credits scene of S3E19, Grisha bumps into him when he and his sister leave Liberio and Tom calls him by name. In S3E20 he's also present and hugging Zeke when Zeke turns Grisha and Dina in. It's also kind of implied that Tom was the doctor who fabricated the Owls medical records, but that's an unconfirmed theory. Watching Grisha grow up, bonding with his son, and then finding out that he was a Restorationist must have made suggesting that Zeke turn them in unbearably hard, which is why he was so distraught when he suggested it.

Polygon

Wow, seems like I started a good old AoT Reddit discussion here Anyway, respect for avoiding any manga spoilers for LM!

Aydyn

At the end of the episode Lola and Milena bring to you again 'How to swear in Serbian 101'

bondbond53

@REDRIOT What are you talking about? It's completely in character for Armin, Conny, and the rest of the 104th to lose their trust in Eren after what he did. He literally went rogue, conspired with the Volunteers in secret, dragged the scouts AND Paradis into a war they have no hope of winning, got Sasha killed, murdered a bunch of innocents, and then busted out of jail to lead a group of Nationalists without confiding in any of them. Why the hell would they still believe/trust in him???

Polygon

I think we are saying the same thing lol. “A generation” can also mean a span of time, maybe 20-25 years or so. It would take 3 or 4 generations (80 or so years) for Eldians who are children now to die off naturally, if the world didn’t wipe them out first (but like I said I think the other countries would take things into their own hands anyway.)

Sarah

Is it really a spoiler though? I have not read the manga and I came up to that exact same conclusion. When Zeke asks Eren if he agrees with his Euthanization plan Eren does not say yes, instead he just randomly talks about the memories he saw and how those children dying served a purpose for them living. And we all know from the early start that Eren says Because I was born into this world, so why not? We still dont know his motives, there is no spoiler in it at all.

Cation

@Cloudy exactly. I do like Erwin, don't get me wrong, but I feel like he's been idealized way too much. Do I think Erwin would have done other things? of course, but I doubt he could have solved anything and I definetly think that Eren would have still done the same.

sand_fl

Even though that line was cut in this episode, Grisha said that multiple times in Season 3P2.

Zekrom XI

I do like that Grisha learned his lesson with Zeke, and didn't even hint at any of this to Eren until Eren himself declared he wanted to fight.

ArcaneAnomaly

"...their race is going to die off anyway in a couple generations..." no, if the plan is succeeded, THIS one is the last generation, there are not a "couple" of them left. and if the rest of the world kill Eldians as fast as possible, they would end the titan threat right then and there. this euthanisation plan ensures the swift and complete destrucion of Eldians.

szepi79

Next episode gives more specifics on that.

AndreasZ

So as far as we can tell, that ability you two are curious about, the one Reiner used to transfer his consciousness in the Battle of Shiganshina, is an ability that only the Armored Titan has.

Bryce

@cloudy When grisha said “what did I do wrong” it wasn’t in reference to how he treated his son, it’s that his father said fay died because you guys went outside the walls. Implying that he was to blame for his sisters death

Kyogln

This episode made Zeke skyrocket into my top 10. While I don't agree with his "euthannization" plan (actually I don't know if it's a bad translation or just a weird way to phrase it) I do think that given the circumstances is not the worst thing that could happen. Again, that doesn't mean I agree with him. It's really sad to see how lonley he felt as a child and only had a couple of people who loved him unconditionally. The way he almost cried when Eren called him brother always makes me emotional.

sand_fl

please delete this comment.

szepi79

trailer should be fine, they didnt reveal much its more a teaser than a trailer

Sam

this is a spoiler!!

StrawHat

That's basically a spoiler. Even if you're disappointed they haven't noticed something, just let it go

Anonyme Anonyme

If anything, I think it just gives the rest of the world an excuse to wipe Eldians out as quickly as possible. I can easily imagine other countries justifying it with, “Well, their race is going to die off anyway in a couple generations, so what’s wrong with ‘helping them along’?” (Lots wrong, obviously.)

Sarah

i really believe that if erwin was still alive eren wouldn't have done what he did. he did what he did cause no one else had the balls to look at the problem ahead. erwin would've either solved the problem with marley through talking or he would've fuxked them over so hard. RIP erwin, i'm sorry but armin a lil bit** this season and so is conny. they literally were talking about giving eren's titan to someone else. what kinda trust is this? even worse for armin, he knew the dude from when they were little kids.

REDRIOT

yea that's what makes it so tragic to me is Zeke also did nothing wrong. the problem is where they grew up!

StrawHat

I disagree. that trailer exists for a reason. it is intended to be watched. the creators of the show decided these are the scenes/pictures we need to watch to get in the right mindset. they literally could have just made a screenshot of the date of the episode and people would still be hyped. but they decided not to. also: LM watched the end scene credits to 3x12 as well, and the world is still here.

szepi79

dasdasdasdas dasdasdas

the right thing to say would be "I wanna sterilize myself" :D

szepi79

well, the parents are shitty because they had shitty childhoods themselves. and the reason why they had shitty childhoods is because their parents were shitty too, because... you know the rest.

szepi79

I think “genocide” fits Zeke’s plan best. And agreed, it does literally nothing to help Eldians who are currently alive. The world is not going to stop seeing Eldians who exist currently as a threat just because they can’t reproduce. (I haven’t read the manga either.)

Sarah

Yeah, it's a shame they cut that line

Anonyme Anonyme

Seeing zeke being brought to tears after hearing eren calling him brother always moves me. It’s crazy how this show managed to elevate zeke’s character with juste one episode/flashback.

Pkiu

I like Armin, but I really feel that choosing him was following emotions rather than logic - Erwin was more experienced, and actually good at politics. And Armin is young and inexperienced, however kind he is And to make this point more interesting - here are 2 fan arts from the internet of what COULD have been - and to me they just give off some hope Just watch the pictures - beware spoilers in replies! 1 - https://mobile.twitter.com/lawjrpc/status/1434173457760096260 2 - https://mobile.twitter.com/lawjrpc/status/1434237438621220865

Aydyn

“I’m gonna kill myself” is the right thing to say after watching this episode.

Ali Khod

I knew you guys would side with Zeke's plan xD

Aydyn

There’s a line of dialogue that’s been cut in this episode in the manga..the scene at the dinner table….and grisha says something along the lines of, “What did I do wrong…I only wanted to see the airship.” It hits fucking hard.

Kyogln

Why does this show have such shitty parents?

I don't like the name "euthanization". It's more of a sterilization, really. I also see you really dislike Marleyans. Well, remember that it has been said that Eldians are treated even worse almost everywhere in the world. So, yeah, I agree with Milena, the assumption that other countries will EVER willingly leave Eldians alone is unfounded to say the least. I haven't read the manga, pls don't spoil if I'm really, really wrong and stupid.

Nikodem

Or they can just not watch any trailer and go into part 2 blind which sounds like the right decision to me

EAY

as a fellow slav I felt that "pičku materinu" in my bones (bet that's not how you spell it in serbian tho xddd)

le_swee

It’s honestly impressive how this show manages to find new ways to hurt the viewers.

Quo

Jan 9 first episode, almost there, a month an a few days.

Mati D.

Eren was the child Grisha wanted in Liberio and Zeke was the child Grisha wanted in Paradis

Thomas Huenefeld

Lola never stopped crying in 22 mins =(

Mati D.

you should do a reaction to the S4P2 trailer as well. however! please look out, and only watch the OFFICIAL trailer! there are a lot of a fanmade trailers, which are made by people who read the manga and those SPOIL a lot!

szepi79

I remember thinking how horrible what Grisha did was (and ofc there's no excuse for treating your child like that) but then rewatching with you guys I'm thinking about how Grisha also grew up in that fucked up situation and I just can't it's all just one big fucked up cycle. Did Grisha even ever have a chance to be a proper dad idek anymore

StrawHat

Are y’all gonna react to aot season 4 part 2 trailer ? it’s a short one.

Sergeant Jay

I think Lola has said "I'm going to kill myself" in every episode this season lol

Alex

"let's keep the intro short" yeah right :D

szepi79

I KNOW RIGHT :D

szepi79

here comes the WONDERBOY ZEKE

AkitSGr

Just one more :( hopefully part 2 is coming soon

Luna

omg omg it's happening, this episode is in my Top 3 of all time, Grisha voice acting is top tier.

Mati D.

This is going to be rough
