Interesting. That makes sense, but if that's the case, it wasn't perhaps the smartest choice visually to have events play out like Galliard was able to deliberately spring out from basically right under Eren.

I never saw it like that. Don't know if Isayama's intention was portray like she is pointing so Galliard know where Eren was standing. Because, like you said, it doesn't make sense. To me Pieck pointing to Eren and then Porco atacking right after was just for dramatic purposes, like: ''get me to the roof and I will point where the enemy is'' then point to Eren because he is the enemy. In my mind Galliard just waited enough to them get there and, knowing Pieck is smart enough to not stand in the middle, just went blindly. Doens't look like a good plan, but what Magath said seens to suggest that they weren't expecting to get Eren so easy like that, and destroying the roof was just let the airships know Eren's location. The plan was alwaysto get Gabi, sinalize where Eren was and send Reiner to get him.

AOT is an epic - storywise. But for only having 64 episodes, FMAB, is a master class in pacing a story. There are some points where the story drags a bit but it never lasts more than a couple episodes. AOT is an amazing story, but it is huge with many intricate details. Setting all of that up requires a lot of slower moments.

It's actually hilarious that Armin laughs at Yelenas plan. Because we all know that what ever Yelenas and Erens plans are, Armin of all people knows Eren by heart. And he knows that Eren would never agree to let his people die out just like that. Because we already saw in the flashbacks that Eren got angry when he heard Zekes plan about passing down the titans. And then suddenly he just agrees? Nah no way. Really feels like Armin caught up to the plan and ironically laughs at Yelenas idea. Loved your reaction guys! Can't wait for next part. Edit; BTW I am the only one liked the ending? I mean it looks like a war about to unfold so might as well end it there. So nervous about part 2 though. It's not guaranteed the rumbling will keep everyone back for 100 years, especially with technology evolving so fast. Also unless they move every Eldian to the island or some new created safe spaces they can't 100% secure the safety/same rights for every Eldian who lives outside or in the zones. The planned small demonstration and then threat of the rumbling can only do or last so much. I think Zeke's plan could work but it's still a gamble.

Zeke’s plan uses the rumbling to protect the island for 100 years while they all die off, so I don’t get why LM say the world would still fight them. His plan is flawless just morally bankrupt.

I took Armin's laughter as manipulation. He's shown that he can do that, mostly with Bert when he told him about Annie being tortured. I don't really know what his reasoning is, other than making Yelena think he's on their side so she'll let him out, but I think that's what he was doing.

He cried because he realized Eren wouldn't agree to a plan that involves never being born. It goes against his whole personality and theme of "I'm special BECAUSE i was born in to this world." So Armin cried because he realzied due to Yelena's words, Jean might be right, Eren is doing something deeper than just pushing them away and following Zeke,

I'm pretty sure he was faking it to see how Yelena reacted. If you look at Armin right after the soldier runs up to say there are invaders, he looks completely fine. It isn't really there in the anime, but in the manga version of this scene when Armin looks up, he looks right at Yelena, not the soldier running towards them.

We’ve seen Mikasa without the scarf multiple times before. For example, she wasn’t wearing in it in the flash back in 4x10 when they was talking on the wagon. Just wanted to point that out because it may end up not meaning anything that she doesn’t wear it now. But who knows how her story arc will go on from now.

I really wish we had seen more of Armin's grandpa. He must've been such an amazing person to raise Armin this well. He also took care of Mikasa and Eren after they lost everything. And in the end he probably died screaming in extreme pain, getting eaten by a titan, just like the rest of 250000 people that were killed off in order to stop the food shortage after the fall of Wall Maria. Holy shit, it's kind of easy to forget at this point in the story how fucked those poor people were... I know people like to draw parallels between the Paradis' attack on Liberio and what Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie did, but it doesn't even compare when we consider the death tolls, especially when we consider that most of the dead on Paradis' side were civillians. On the other hand, if the rumbling happens (I haven't read the manga), then it will obviously no longer be the case. Not trying to justify anybody, I think this entire thing is extremally cruel...

When you are rewatching the show I’m curious if you’ll spot all the foreshadowings in the previous seasons we have mentioned the coffee thing from season 3 and canned herring in season 2 but there are wayyy more clues that you don’t know about. I wonder if you’ll notice all of them. If you really feel like it but honestly you should only watch this if you are really curious but this video points out all the foreshadowing for season 1 and 2 of attack on titan. I think they mean that it wouldn't work in terms of war. War and violence will always exist despite the existence of Eldians and Titans. The plan would only mean that there would still be war but without titans. At least thats what I think they mean when they say Zeke's plan wouldn't work.

If you guys plan to re-watch it, can you guys re-react to just episode 1 for us. Yes, you guys are right - the writer did had a clear goal on where the plot is going ever since episode 1 season 1, which is crazy. And its funny, because episode 1 has a lot of hidden clues that are yet to be unveiled in the last part of the story (which is coming next part of the animated season). There are 2 major spoilers in season 1 episode 1. But you can only understand them if you've read the last volumes of the manga anyway (which should come in play in the last animated season next month). The journey has come to an end (at least till January comes :D). I haven't watched the reaction yet, but I just wanted to say that you guys are the best reaction channel I've seen (at least with regard to Attack on Titan). You have great insight and show genuine emotion to the characters and the series overall. Can't wait to watch Part 2 with you.
