Manga readers are really the only ones throwing a fit here. Every anime only I know in person who has watched the trailer has really enjoyed it and only served to get them really hyped for the next episode.

Thank you. I don't mind regular people watching trailers but it's always a bad idea for reactors to watch trailers. I think some people don't realize how much it would affect a reactor's reactions when they've been spoiled. I've seen some reactors who are spoiled on some major plot points and it really affected their reactions. So I think you guys made the right choice here.

Eh, while I agree that most of the stuff is not a direct spoiler if you're anime-only, I have to admit that it shows off certain moments that I would rather not have known anything about before going in. I remember how I felt when I first came across those moments in the manga for the first time, and I honestly wouldn't have liked to seen non-contextual screenshots etc of those moments before. Even if I wouldn't have understood what's happening.

You only know that because you read the manga. The only thing I don't like is that they showed Zeke being alive. The others are just vague shots of stuff that people won't really understand without context. Also, ANY trailers are made to hype people up. It is supposed to show plot points to excite the upcoming viewers. I think they did a good job showing a few plot points and making them as vague as possible. This is much better than the Final Season Part 1 trailer imo.

Funimation and Crunchyroll added all the OVA's this week (not sure if it's region specific), so perhaps that'll make it easier to watch them legally?

Are you joking? The trailer reveals a TON of stuff even if you haven't read the manga and even moreso if you take the time to break it down. To name a few, it reveals that SPOILERS FROM THE TRAILER Zeke is alive, that Onyankopon frees the scouts, that Zeke screams and turns a bunch of people into Titans, that Zeke shoots down the Marleyan zeppelins, that Gabi shoots Eren's head off, that Eren and Zeke make successful contact, and introduces Ymir in the Paths.

To be honest, I don't see how an officially released trailer can be considered spoilers. It's all stuff that was determined to be ok for people to see beforehand. But I also haven't seen it myself, and I'm not going to (makes the excitement build more imo). So I guess I just have to take what people say at face value.

just like any other trailer or even some openings, its only a spoiler if you know the context, and manga readers know the context, and aint no way your gonna stop all manga readers saying its a spoiler trailer. Without context you can only guess on whats gonna happen, but then you would have the manga readers spoiling it so yea its a good decision i guess.... missing out on them views tho lol.

The trailer shows stuff mostly from the first couple chapters but still some big spoilers you can easily figure out without analyzing it. Better not to watch, it's a very good hype trailer though so maybe you could watch it after everything in it is shown.
