The opening scene of this show is a good representation of Vi and Powder’s dynamic. Vi is the older sibling and was at an age where she understood what was happening around her. She’s the protector. Powder is covering her eyes in the opening scene because Vi probably told her to hold her hand and not look. When the explosion happened, Vi was in it. She saw everyone die and Powder didn’t. I think the root of Powder’s abandonment issues is always being out of the action, always feeling left behind. Vi has me in my feelings about older sibling guilt. I’m glad Caitlyn is there for her, too!

Yeah the show wasn't super clear on that, but there was another subtle hint of the flowers they were feeding to that animal being purple, like shimmer.

The Imagine Dragons Enemy music video isn't canon. There are scenes in that video that just wouldn't happen in the show. I really don't think it's necessary at all. It's great, but you can watch it after the show.

Yeah it's crazy how well they pack so much into this show without it ever feeling rushed. Masterful pacing.

One thing I find very impressive about this show is that it moves at an extremely fast pace but is able to do so without sacrificing emotional depth and build up along the way. We have seen Vi/Powder lose their parents, lose their best friends/adoptive father, have a falling out and get separated, grow up in separate tragic situations, reunite and get separated again all in just 6 episodes. But every step along the way felt very impactful, the characters were still developed in understandable ways that made us care for them. It feels like this show doesn’t have any wasted scenes.

It seems that you missed the fact that the scientist that Viktor met when he was young, is the same person who created Shimmer with Silco back in Act 1. If you did catch that, sorry just had to mention it.

It's funny I had never thought about the mv giving context/increasing experience to the last act... in my mind was actually the opposite, probably because I watched it after finishing the show. Now thinking about it, maybe it could work one way or another... Just know I want a reaction to it xD

Interesting theory about Rio and the shimmer... I always thought that flowers were the feedstock used to produce shimmer through some chemistry processes, and the guy was using shimmer to keep Rio alive for some other reason, not extracting it from her. idk.

The guy in victors flashback is the same guy who was Silco's science guy who experimented with the rat in episode one and who got caught up in powder's explosion in episode 3. Hence his baldness and scarred face.

-Jinx drinks the same orange juice in the same glass that Vander served her in the episode 2. -Sevika lose his arm in the explosion of the episode 3, that's why Jinx says "I feel like you and i got off on the wrong arm". -The ruined house where Cait and VI arrived is where she and Powder grew up, before Vander's War in the bridge, And in this episode VI brought down his house, his own past… Poetic. -Who help Caitlin in the underground is the same guy from the first episode, who vander help in his bar with the deal. -The shimmer has regenerative properties, that's why Silco use it in his eye. -Who has the mutation is the same guy who created the shimmer for Silco. -Jinx thought her sister was dead all this time, that's why she say to Vi "are you real?", because in his head she always see dead people just like Mylo and Claggor.
