Exactly. She is a great character and what happened to her is incredibly sad. But a lot of people have tragic backstories and don't end up indiscriminately killing people. And even though Silco has probably not been a good influence, they've gone out of their way to show that even he doesn't approve of her doing this stuff. She is dangerous, and even Vi needs to treat her as such, unfortunately.

Genuinely surprised that people come out of this thinking Vi is a bad sister. It's been 7 years since she saw Jinx. That's a long time. Both Cait and Ekko have labeled Jinx a terrorist and that she's beyond saving. She obviously still loves her sister but you can't fault her for thinking Powder might actually be dead. She doesn't see what we do that Powder is still very conflicted. From what Vi has seen so far, Jinx was ruthlessly shooting to kill the Firelights, blew up half a bridge of Enforcers AND shot at her and Caitlyn on the bridge. Who in their right mind would drop their friend hurt in the crossfire to run towards her.

Honestly I didn't even blame Vi at all for punching her back in episode 3. My first thought right before she did it was "shit if Vi doesn't hit Powder after watching her kill her whole family she's got inhuman levels of restraint." I love Jinx as a character and sympathize with her mental health issues and can relate to her on a lot but at this point yeah she's literally a mass murderer with dozens of victims so Ekko can punch away.

Yeah it is crazy how many people blame Vi, but no one seems to actually blame Jinx. Like Jinx bares no responsibility for her actions.

Vi staying isn't “easily mellowing out the entire situation” this ain't no fairytale. If jinx cant tell Vi whats wrong with her dont expect Vi to know how to deal with it.. whats wrong with u? Jinx always ruins the opportunity so cut that out. Everyones like “Vi get jinx get jinx” how bout jinx get Vi? Read the room, not only jinx perspective

I don't think it's that simple and I highly doubt things would be all good if Ekko took Caitlyn back instead of Vi. Vi would still have to deal with Silco at some point and I'm sure he would put thoughts into Jinx's head and made her turn against Vi again. Her choosing to take Caitlyn back to safety does not make her a bad sister

She used a minigun, there's no way Vi would be unscathed with how close she was to Caitlyn I can't fathom blaming Vi for this situation. She walked away from someone who just almost murdered her as well as an innocent person just because she was with Vi. I also don't like this distinction of good person vs good sister with the implication that how good of a sister she is just comes down to her loving Jinx unconditionally and excusing anything she does. Also Vi didn't abandon Powder, she hit her because she just lost her father figure and two best friends who also felt like family to her and it was blatantly Powder's fault, as well as something that came about from Powder blatantly disregarding what Vi told her to do. And even then Vi immediately realized she shouldn't have hit Powder and was going to go back for her. As well as that, the standards that Jinx puts on Vi for a big sister are insanely unrealistic. She wants to be the center of Vi's world and her attachment issues and trauma mean that to her Vi shouldn't be allowed to get close to anyone else because she sees it as an obstacle. She doesn't want to share Vi with anyone. I sympathize with Jinx/Powder but Vi isn't at fault here

She was obviously aiming for Caitlyn though. I dont sympathize with Vi that much after this episode, because while she didnt abandoned Powder in episode 3, she did here. She could have sent Ekko up with Caitlyn. Obviously the writers wanted this fighting scene to happen so that was never going to be an option, but that doesnt change the fact that Vi walked away from Powder, very blatantly picking Caitlyn over her. Had Vi stayed, it could have very easily mellowed the entire situation at hand down. No, im not saying Jinx as a person, but the moment. By choosing Caitlyn and abandoning Jinx on the bridge, it led to all the agonizing events after. I wont go into that because spoilers. You know what im talking about though. Vi has time and time again let Jinx down and been a bad sister to Powder/Jinx despite loving her. I dont blame Vi though. She is not well equipped to heal her mental trauma. Though, there were times when it felt like she wasn't even trying. Like on the bridge. Vi wants her cake and to eat it too. Talks all big about wanting to rescue her, but chokes when the opportunity presents itself. Vi may be a good person, but shes a pretty bad sister. I think she kind of knows that too at times. Regardless either way its heartbreaking.

I said not to hope for it, lol. They said they're unlikely to watch it bc Milena said it didn't seem like the sort of show she'd like, plus The Expanse had been confirmed a while ago so they're not gonna suddenly change that That being said you never know, they might eventually give at least the first episode a shot so I'm gonna keep recommending it whenever it's relevant

Also I get sympathizing with Powder/Jinx but she literally shot at Vi and Caitlyn when she saw them on the bridge and was ready to kill. Even if she may have regretted killing Vi later, there's a high chance they both would've been dead if not for Ekko

I mean I get it, we get attached to Powder and it is an emotional reflex. But at this point she is Jinx and is literally a mass murderer terrorist, I think at the very least she deserves a couple of punches from Ekko.

The symbol on Ekko's face is an hourglass. One of the main themes about him is time. When Vi tells him "I should have been there. For you. For everyone." He tells her "That's a good way to drive yourself crazy." He strongly understands her desire to go back in time and change their traumatic past.

I think the Ekko and Jinx fight might be my favorite fight scene ever. The art, the music (love Denzel), the buildup and way Ekko just for a moment is able to pull Powder out, so much is shown about their relationship without them even speaking.

Yes all the other reactors missed that Jinx looks at a butterfly gets the idea and then makes them into flying mechanical bombs. Very hard to catch that. Thanks NeronGoD and you’re right that scene with Ekko and Jinx was showing how he would always lose as kids but now learned to counteract Jinx with different moves when he got older.

I belive the scene where Ekko and Jinx fight first shows them remembering how they used to play as little kids and then the fight beggins, i think he is able to dodge every shot by remembering how she used to shoot. Also the little mechanical butterflies were built and sent by Jinx to destroy the blockade and the enforcers.

This episode, it's end in particular, always break my heart so much, between the very subtle ways Cait & Vi react te protect each other when Jinx shot at them that you can only see in slow motion (Cait wanting to shield Vi, and Vi pushing her) and the Face of Jinx at the very end, when she realised that everyone is against her and abandoned her, and choose to take herself out with that grenade, it make me so so sad to imagine of alone she feels. It also give full sense to the opening song for me :(

Maybe you have missed one thing. Those firelights that attacked the enforcers were Jinx's. There were some short scenes of her building them.

Ooh, The Expanse is pretty awesome . Took me a season to actually like the characters though, but now it is somewhere in the top of sci-fi that i watched. Anyway, can't wait to watch your reaction!
