Raúl Thais Lozano

God damn it. The reaction is blocked in my country. Why does it have to be episode 25 of all episodes?

Savage Starlight

don’t listen to people that say the show is bad after this episode. I personally think it’s still amazing, but don’t listen to me either. try to watch it with an open mind

You guys should watch the OVA after this, L's funeral!

Michael Mensah

death note to me had 25 episodes back at 2006.. i didnt cared for the rest

amir.cricket

L, He massages Light’s feet because it’s a Bible quote when Jesus washed his disciples' feet.

Jitty

JoloPolo

You'll probably be inundated with comments on episode 26 which will begin the debate of 'did or didn't the show dip in quality after L's death?', and 'was the writer forced to write additional episodes?' (he wasn't btw). It's somewhat of a blight on the fandom, as it's an endless back-and-forth that never amounts to much. For both the girls and weekly viewers who may read this, don't let others dissuade you into thinking the show gets better/worse than it actually does. Just view the show on its own merit.

HAHAHA LONG LIVE KIRA!

Scar

the positions they were in were never even. Light couldve easily "won" had his pride not taken over and he tripped himself over multiple times. hes also in a far more delicate position than L bcuz he had to make sure even if he kills L he cant be under suspicion. one trip up and hes done for. Not to say L wasnt under threat but Light definitely was on the defensive for most of the series until the end. no way anyone with regular intelligence couldve evaded L like Light had done. or at the very least, they had to be completely devoid of pride or emotion. Light, even if he lacked every other emotion, has his pride which ultimately caused him trouble every single time.

Danny

IKR hitler is easily worse than Light

iu

Despite what he said and even what his inner monologue says, L was always sure Light was Kira. When he said ‘I’m 4% sure’ or whatever percentage, he actually meant that plus 90%. He lies to everyone even the reader/watcher, this was a thing the writer of the manga said in an interview. Also Light is a dirty rotten cheater who needed magic to beat L. He sucks. He’s always sucked.

Patrick

That's why i don't judge characters by my emotions, if you really hate him that much its only proves that author did amazing job at creating this character. Funny anecdote Jefrey from game of thrones as a actor did amazing job but unfortunately many dumb people thought that he was like this in real life too, which caused him a lot of trouble. I personally don't understand how someone can "hate" him that much, i thought that he was amazingly written character, but i'm also a pragmatic person, intj so maybe that's why but i also believe there are huge amount of people on both sides.

Vasto

I don't know about the "worst human ever born" chief, at least from my interest in history, but i know most of those opinions after the episode are highly influenced by emotions.

Vasto

Light goes crazy in that scene lmao 😂

Melkor

If they really want to hate Light (which they already do), then they should watch the L's funeral scene. I know that made me hate him.

Andres

lol

Melkor

Lol KIRA HAS BECOME THE GOD OF THE NEW WORLD. Haha

Melkor

I’d love to see that but it’s a little risky, YT does recommend a video of a huge spoiler whenever I watch L’s funeral. I’d say they watch it after the show.

Leonardo Htx

man i can feel Lola´s anger and sadness, RIP L

Sebastian Ayala

The pure savagery in this episode. L attempting to expose Light/Misa by testing it on a criminal and then Light manipulating a death god to his advantage. Let us be aware all of this was planned before Light lost his memories. His plan in the end was to ensure L and Rem both die since with Rem around, hes in danger of dying if he ever needed to kill Misa. Truly everything went "according to his plan". While I agree Light was helped by the supernatural, he was on a knife's edge the entire show as 1 slipup means his death. he had to kill L in a way that wouldnt make his suspicious even if L dies.

Danny

In Death Note VOL.13, the author confirmed his last thoughts. L: "I knew it... I wasn't wrong... But I lost... for now"

today is the day

Alexis

also, i said this on twitter when i watched it the other day but the scene where l washes lights feet... listen, i know that was a biblical reference, i studied in a catholic school for years so i know more about religion than what i would like, but even though they were going for religious reference i just saw the homoerotic tension there hdhsjs i'm not lying when i say that's one of the gayest shits i've ever watched and i'm a lesbian, so i watch pretty much everything that has sapphic representation, and still, this was even gayer that many of the things i watch.

sand_fl

This is not true. It has never been true. This is just fan speculation.

Can't watch until tomorrow :( tbh i want to watch how they react to rem dying even more that when l does

sand_fl

i was about to comment that in the aot video hdhsj people really should learn a bit about patience and not fill other videos with aot comments. Last week it was with lcdp and now this. aot fandom is too much for me some times.

sand_fl

the yt comments for ep 21 are a MESS my god the aot fandom LOL

ML9

I've beaten a dead horse at this point with how many times I've ranted about him but I'll still continue to say it. There aren't enough words in English language to describe just how much I hate Light. There's truly not a single redeemable thing about him. NONE.

Hopefully you guys react to L’s funeral after this episode it’s really good. I also gotta agree L had the deck so stacked against him throughout the entire show and there’s only so much he could’ve done when the person he’s up against can literally rewrite the rules to be in his favor.

Isaiah Cox

justice has prevailed

Jaqcues

In case you guys care, there is a little difference between the manga and the anime. In the manga L says that he knew he was right, that Light is Kira, they didn't include that in the anime. Here is that scene ALONE of the manga, just when he says that: https://imgur.com/a/avSNtqm

Mati D.

I've heard the series would've originally ended here, but the show's producers (or something) wanted more beyond this point, so the creator ended up doing a continuation of 12 episodes.

Serodin

With this scene obviously referring to that biblical reference I think it’s pretty safe to say L was aware and convinced he would die to Kira who he knew to be Light, which makes this episode even more sad as it can be described as L waiting to be killed in a situation he has no control over

Quinn

Please react to L’s funeral on YouTube either now or after the show. I’d love to see your reaction to it.

Melkor

When L washes Lights feet it’s symbolism for when Jesus washes Judas before Judas betrays him I’m pretty sure. Jesus here is L and light is Judas.

Melkor

…I’m not crying… you’re crying…
