"he misses his soulmate", exactly...The last shred of Light's humanity/sanity that was left underneath the power, influence and possession of the Death Note has been killed when Kira killed L...if Light had never picked up the Death Note cause of Ryuk the writers had said they'd have worked together and become the best two detectives in the world and "best friends" (let's pretend it's just platonic friendship right)... You guys need to watch the Death Note drama from 2015 you would love Light in it, the writing of him in the anime and manga was an incoherent mess cause we didn't see enough of him at the beginning before he'd pick up the Death Note and the writers of the drama have filled the holes by making some changes and expanding more on his background.

Exactly. They only know that L is dead.

That is still useful to know because Light took over the role of L, so they know he is not the real L

Watari deleted all the data and we see Light found L's diary entry and deletes it as well. The only information the people from Wammy's House received was the short message "L is dead".

Congratulations! you are the 100th user to post the same comment about L's funeral, you won an Iphone 10 XDD
Naa I'm kidding, but seriously, I think they already got the message, besides it's just Light visiting L's grave, it's not that it contributes much to the plot you know

There's actually a deleted scene of L's funeral that was supposed to be in this episode, it's on Youtube if you want to watch it before's the next episode, it's only 4 minutes long but it's really good.

technically most of us would live longer cuz nobody watches news so L's bait wouldnt have worked in ep 2 LOL. he would still be stuck trying to figure out which area Kira is. Even if he finds a pattern that more killings happen in Japan, it would be near impossible to search the country for a killer they have no idea how they kill.

To be fair, there was no need to tie her up like that like a mannequin, a straitjacket and a blindfold were all that was needed.

Why do you (Lola) keep asking why L had to tie Misa up the way he did? There’s literally hardware evidence that she was the second kira! A mass murderer capable of killing people in unknown ways! They don’t know exactly how she kills so they need to be extra cautious… How is that so hard to understand? If that were a man tied up I swear you wouldn’t be saying anything…

Correct me if i'm wrong but all reports data were deleted by Watari so the two at the end don't know anything about Light

I think the people cheering for Kira are the kind of people who think Kira would never target them. But that’s the lie of an authoritarian like Kira, everyone is guilty they just don’t know it yet.

Ok so even though I personally disagree with Kira & absolutely hate Light as a person, I think I can kind of understand the perspective of his followers.
Think of how many people are stuck in horrible, crime-ridden neighbourhoods where going out at night could mean getting mugged or kidnapped or murdered. How many people are stuck in wartorn countries where they suffer constant violence and death? I don't think the anime really mentions this, but post-timeskip, wars worldwide have ceased thanks to Kira. Is sacrificing some falsely accused innocents worth it if it means the cessation of all war, no matter how temporary? I dunno, it's fucked up but I can see why some people, especially those directly impacted by war, would agree with Kira.
Also, the reason Light is killing imprisoned criminals is to deter other people from becoming criminals in the first place. The problem with that, of course, is how it's just dealing with the symptom rather than actually targeting any of the societal ills that result in criminal behaviour in the first place :/

L is the best character to me as well... but we need to give Light some credit too. I mean even with the advantage all of us would last a couple of hours against L haha and Kira was actually able to beat him.
