@TeaDrinker3000 Trust me Demon slayer is far from the mysogony of death note and it’s catored towards a younger audience not that makes it bad it’s just different I watch it because the story is interesting enough to keep me curious, the animation is 11/10 and it has sick characters as well as cool and actually exciting fights.

All the shows I see recommended are amazing! But I think you will absolutely love Vinland Saga. Same studio that animated AOT from S1-S3 with very emotional story and smart characters. and It's about VIKINGS!!!

Yah I feel you on that. The one criticism I've heard about it that I would consider is if the gender politics aren't up to snuff. I personally wouldn't want to watch anything that would be more egregious than, say, Death Note levels of sexist portrayals of women. Other than that I'd be down for it, no matter how 'shallow' it is in comparison to AOT , which is honestly one of the most complex shows I've seen period. I also dislike how unfortunately AOT fans will be stereotyped because of the tiny vocal minority. That's the way these things always go though, an entire fanbase will get scrutinised due to the actions of a few. In any case, so long as we're getting anime in some shape or form I'll be happy.

Same TeaDrinker3000 The thing is that recently quite a few AOT fans have actually started going on demon slayer episodes and giving them a 1/10 for no reason and just talking down on the show I think it’s incredibly childish. The show isn’t super deep in its story true but the hate it gets is completely uncalled for and as a shonen it’s very good. Hell the demon slayer movie was extremely well received and as a show it’s far from being bad. But if anything that isn’t deep and complex is bad then it wouldn’t be popular. I wish people who see it recommended would stop talking down on the show and trash talking it.

Just to be clear I amen't personally criticising the show. Like you, I've noticed a great deal of pushback against the show, and I'm moreso just anticipating blowback from the frequent commentors if it gets picked. So long as we still get FMA:B I'll be happy 👌

I like Code Geass but I like it in the same way I like a McDonald's cheese burger. It's unhealthy trash that doesn't have much depth to it, but it's still very enjoyable if you can get past that fact. Would never recommend it however, especially considering how awful most of the female characters are treated in terms of the level of "fanservice", AKA blatent oversexualisation

As if half the anime in this comment section don't involve some form of sexualisation of minors (specifically underage girls). Each to their own of course but knowing the girls love characters and character development, I think they'd love talking about it in their reviews. I do agree though that Euphoria has an excessive amount of nudity, however some aspects of the story are really worth telling, particularly Rue in season 2.

You haven't watched it? Honestly Demon Slayer is the kind of show that pretty much anyone can appreciate due to the amount of work the studio put into the adaptation. Just because the story is way more simple than AOT doesn't mean the show is not enjoyable in it's own right. I seriously don't get the hate for it. It feels like everyone is just shitting on it because it's one of the most popular animes out right now. Now I'm not saying everyone has to love the show, but I see so many people spew nothing but hate for it that it makes me wonder if they have anything better to do. I thought about it also... I Love how democratic they are and how the girls always take us in consideration (and makes sense since we are supporting them). But patreons will always be majoritarily the fandom of currently shows they are reacting to, and tend to be more limited to just one genre/style of show. I'm all about anime but I know there are people that want more live actions. Also, more popular/hyped shows will always win, of course it lead us to many master pieces that deserve the popularity like Avatar, Breaking Bad, AoT, Arcane and etc, but there are a lot of true gems with less recommendations and a huge variaty of shows. I think 2--3 shows chosen by patreons, 1 sugested or even voted from regular youtube viewers and at least 1 simply choose by thenselves would be ideal. You are reactors, but you are free to choose TATAKAE, TATAKAE! xD

I think most Patrons here are anime fans, but I feel like a live action show should be replaced by another live action show. Death Note will still be on for a few weeks, but it can then be replaced by another anime. Best case scenario would be if Milena and Lola don't listen to any of us, and just put like 5 shows in the poll, that they would like to watch anyways and then have us vote on it. :D

Personally I wouldn't be *that* disappointed if Demon Slayer wins the polls. I understand the problems people have with it from the comments these last few weeks, and while the show doesn't sound like it would be my cup of tea, I think democracy should decide the outcome. Many of the patrons are just paying the $1 a month to vote on polls, and I think their opinion is just as valuable as the frequent commenters imo

I read the managa last year and I've still been blown away by the episodes. AoT has always been a show that's good or even better on re-watch, the first time through at least in my case I just want to know what's going to happen next whereas the second time through you really pay attention to the characters.

I actually do think they would like it, though - there's a lot of stuff about family bonds and such that they really liked in Arcane. I also this latest arc has been really good. I found the first season a little dull, comparatively.

Well, they're running a business and Demon Slayer is very popular. I'd rather they watch some classics like Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, etc, but that probably won't happen until they've gone through the popular stuff. - Also, last time there was a poll FMAB came in second and Demon Slayer 3rd. but maybe deathnote fans would prefer DS over FMAB?

I just finished Sharp Objects, great show with an interesting mystery to it- it gets really dark. Eight episodes, so it'll take about as long as Arcane did. The Wilds is also great, it has ten episodes with a second season on the way. If you want to go for an anime though the obvious pick is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Bro Erased is not fucking lighthearted lmao. Also IMO the ending is pretty meh. EDIT: I just realized you weren't saying that Erased was lighthearted, my bad. But that still doesn't change the fact that I don't really like the ending, it's just an unnecessarily shit situation that the MC ends up in for trying to save everyone. I just didn't feel like that type of ending fit the show. My recommendation for something short would be maybe some Ghibli movies like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, or A silent Voice (fantastic film). In terms of shows maybe Terror in Resonance, Devilman Crybaby, Made in Abyss. If they wanted something more light Then A Place Further Than The Universe is super wholesome and will give you some major feels.

Chernobyl would be great because that means you would basically finish Death Note, Attack on Titan and Chernobyl all at the same time in 6-7 weeks. That would be the perfect time to start multiple new shows.

Death Note is only around 5 weeks left, so it makes sense to replace FMAB with Death Note. But it also means that you'll be watching the first episodes of FMAB and the finale of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 at the same time. It's going to be a roller coaster of emotions. After Attack on Titan, I kind of expect something more lighthearted like One punch Man or something short like Erased (12 episodes).
