The Kyoshi novels honestly come close for me though, they really did Lola's girl right. My suggestion was somewhat tongue in cheek Robert hahah, though just seeing how they'd even attempt to do a book reaction would be funny in of itself

The ONLY similarity between any Anime and Invincible is that they are animated, other than that, it's a night and day difference. For example, I don't like anime as I'm not a fan of the tropes and constant inner monologues, but I really enjoyed Invincible.

Almost want to see it just to find out, but I have a stack of Anime to get through (I have like 30 'currently watching' anime on myanime list, lol.) - I wish more people would check out the classics like Cowboy Bebop or Eva instead of just the current popular stuff, though.

Of course, it would be cool if they did reactions to it, but it's a show that's worth seeing one way or another given its historical weight; wouldn't want them to miss out on that.

But even the animated prequel and the sequel disappointed me so idk. Maybe it's just hard to find a zombie movie/show that will really surprise me after Train to Busan. Since you seem to like the zombie genre I recommend REC, other than Train to Busan is probably one of my favourites in the genre. And I need to check more sk shows, I'm well versed in the movies (The Handmaiden and Memories of Murder are in my top 10 of movies ever made after all) but I've only watched a couple of sk shows. By the way, I forgot to tell you I finished Vinland Saga and I loved it. I'm even considering reading the manga now that I'm going on a trip and won't have free wifi for more than a month. So thank you for the recommendation 😊

Train to Busan is a Korean zombie movie that is just pure perfection I can’t describe it but it’s really good. To prove I’m not lying you can look up the reviews it has they are only good pretty much. Now I also highly recommend watching All of us are dead it’s very intense Korean zombie show with great characters and a decent plot that is very exciting definitely worth watching i’d say because it’s good for being a zombie series.

Most shows are best in their original languages. would you watch Avatar in japanese? Hell no. Alot of shows simply are set to sound better and more fluent in their home language. its nothing against the voice actors. avatar had a great cast and I wouldnt trade them for nobody. FMAB i will say is one of the few that could be watched in dub alongside dbz, naruto, and most shounen/action packed shows. Death note is also good in dub too. But in the end, its always more fluent and the dialogues flow better with the og language. Not saying they HAVE to watch sub. They can watch whatever they want. If I enjoy the show then I will enjoy it in whatever langauge they react in since I already watched it. But just voicing my opinion

It's such a moving show though based on real events that happened to real people. First episode is slow (but you've heard this before about so many shows :P), but after that it really gets moving.

First episode is slow just by nature of the fact it covers training rather than combat, so give it a couple episodes. Highly recommend it though.

2022-02-15 22:36:49 +0000 UTCYeah season 1 is a lot of fun and I personally enjoyed it a lot too. It's just that from the technical perspective, it's not the best written & directed show. Season 2 from the technical perspective I think is much better in its writing & direction. Much more cohesive story. It has a more serious tone though so maybe that's not for everyone. I definitely think LM will enjoy both seasons but I think they will enjoy S2 more since it deals more in characters rather than just fun, random adventures like in S1. We'll see what they think if they ever get to it of course.

If you don't like seeing people flying around with superpowers, it's obviously not for you. If you think, like, marvel movies are corny and generic, then you might like it. But that said, there's a ton of Anime that's way better then invincible. Like go on MyAnimeList and check out the top rated Anime in different categories - you'll like most of it way more then invincible, most likely. (If you've already seen a ton of Anime then might as well check it out) I feel like people who really like Invincible just don't watch a lot of Anime so don't know what they're missing out on.

GoT was good - also, while they're both Fantasy shows I think the Witcher is actually really different from GoT, it focuses on just a handful of characters and has a lot of 'episodic' monster 1-on-1 monster battles, and characters use powerful magic all the time. I think from a visual perspective it looks better.

It's interesting as an attempt to do a 'western' cartoon for adults (that's not a family guy clone) but it's really not that great.

I love this show, but somehow would have preferred Midnight Mass or Band of Brothers. I haven't seen All of Us Are Dead yet. Produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks so it'll be similar quality to Saving Private Ryan which they also made. I HIGHLY recommend everyone watch this in their lifetime.

Lola would be a mess by the end of it. especially at the last episode's talking heads part. invincible is a good show, but it's kinda generic. plus, it just started, and we don't know when the next season is coming. the Witcher is also a good show, but has too much GoT vibes. it has to be BoB.
