2022-03-27 00:25:19 +0000 UTCthe order of events in this anime is slightly different from the manga at the beginning of the story. This episode you just watched was supposed to be the first. For example the scene where Rose shoots Alphonse and his head falls off, that's where you should find out he is an empty armor. Edward's fight with the chimera is where you discover that Edward's limbs are made of automail. And that talk about "flying too close to the sun" happens before you know any context to their backstory. You found out about their backstory in episode 2, but in the original story this answer was supposed to be given a little later. It's a little more mysterious in the original.

It's really awesome, the characters are great and in the end virtually every one of them has their own, complete arc. It can be very funny, but also very sad. It has great battles and I love the animation. The dub is the best one I've ever seen. I'm so excited. This episode, although very good, was nothing compared to what's to come :D
