Both…….. *Dawes* “usually when a man is about to lose everything he realises what mattered to him most. He sees it clearly for the first time”
*Miller* “I see everything I need to see”
*Dawes* “ Maybe you haven’t lost everything yet. When you do, you will know your way home. And it will welcome you”

Which was more glorious? Julie being brought back to her humanity to die as a person. Or maybe it was Miller's liberation from nihilism and despair? hard to say really.

Why?
Because she showed him what it was to truly believe in something.
Because he's taking a leap of faith.
Because he doesn't want whatever part of her that may still be human to die alone, and he doesn't want that for himself, either.
Because he's in love, strange as it may sound.
Pour one out for our baby boy. Miller and Julie dansa era da setara.

That is correct. And there are about 75 million belters living on asteroids (Eros, Ceres, Vesta, Pallas, Hygiea), Jupiter's moons (Io, Europa, Callisto, Ganymede), Saturn's moons (Titan, Tethys, Phoebe), Uranus' moon Titania and the mobile artificial space station Tycho.

One of my all time favorite lines of this season was from Miller to Holden. "I appreciate you inviting me into your family there." Gets me everytime.

The "realism" of the expanse is just for the human part, and it's mainly limited to a few concepts like there's no anti-gravity on ships, acceleration has health consequences, ships don't stop immediately when they arrive somewhere but have to start slowing down pretty early, there's communication delays because of the speed of light, etc. There's still mistakes but it's pretty good for sci-fi. The protomolecule has no rules though lol

Lola became a T-Rex when Miller took off his helmet. :D I was looking forward to this reaction all weekend. Can't wait for more.

Amazing Episode and what a great character is Miller. It is like the 5 or 6 time that i have seen this episode. Four of them to be on par with reactors.

Great reaction. I like to think the protomolecule system was essentially “repurposing” Julie’s consciousness to meet its own needs, much like the original concept of the Matrix (before the producers made the Wachowskis change the concept to “batteries”). The protomolecule system wanted more human organic matter to infect; sensing Julie’s desire to return to Earth (the place with the most human organic matter), it put Julie into a “Matrix” scenario where she was driving the Razorback, thus trying to exploit her feelings of abandonment and desire to return home. That is, until she awoke and realized she could “bend the rules”. It’s kind of beautiful how Miller was the Morpheus to her Neo.

Every tv show has an episode called "Home" and it's almost always a good one.

I think the subconscious distinction people have in their minds is that if a story respects gravity, it's realistic. If a ship is accelerating at high Gs and the ship's unsecured occupants aren't splattered against the wall, that's unrealistic.
I think this show's scientific realism and its socioeconomic "realism" really complement each other as well. The same kinds of conflicts that plague our world today can still plague us 200 years from now, and technological advancement only changes the way those conflicts look. It kinda feels like we're looking in a mirror, even though what we see on the other side is a lot more techy.

I think people say that the Expanse is more realistic or believable than BSG because the science is heavily rooted in reality, with rules generally being bent but not broken or ignored. Obviously the protomolecule is like a brick through a window in regard, but it’s also breaking our laws of physics in-universe, so I forgive it for making things interesting.
So, so thrilled y’all made it this far. The rollercoaster has officially taken off.

I think it's remarkable how you picked up the protomolecule Julie weird "you belong with me" time-warping thing. The authors had to point it out for me to see it. I've watched a bunch of reactors to this show, and I gotta say you are easy top 3. So fun to see you enjoying and falling in love with it!

Gahhh its been killing me waiting for this one. After watching the first few of your reactions to the show I said on youtube that it was going to be fun watching this become your favorite show, because of how you were picking up on so much of what was happening and understanding it so well. So I put my money where my mouth was and signed up for patreon to watch it sooner. As good as this episode is, its just a tiny taste of how good things get.
