The Expanse 2x07 Full Reaction

Comments

They’re still less distrustful than literally every other reactor who instantly shout “she’s in on it” when Dawes takes Cortazar. I know it’s set up that way, probably for the payoff in the scene next Ep, but I love that they’re not falling for it. Even more so now that I’ve watched their end discussion lol

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

They're pretty distrusting of Drummer tbf. It's warranted at this point because we never really get introduced to her. She just kind of appears in more scenes slowly.

Yeah Amazon's subs are terrible and they're a bit ahead of the audio, I'm thinking the subs may even spoil a surprise or two

Diogo Harari AKA You Little Shit. The fact that Bobbi is already baby girl & you’re less distrustful of Drummer than most people makes me love you more. Pampa is old man/Uncle, although it’s not gender specific as a female gets called it at a later date. Mali is little one/kiddo. And sitara is star.

I think this episode has the single best piece of advice for audiences moving forward: "Good and bad, don't let yourself get distracted by that. It'll just confuse you". Speculation is what makes this show so fun to watch, and you guys have some of the best I've seen. But I have seen people sometimes fall into the trap of getting a little distracted in trying to figure out where everyone stands and miss out on a lot of the of the depth. One of the best aspects of the series is how everyone does what they do for a reason, and no one is entirely perfect and no one is entirely rotten. I think its always helpful to come back home to Dawes' line here when things get complex. Oh as you guys noticed, Amazon's subtitles are a bit iffy. When Dawes told Holden that he reminds him of someone, he actually says "You're just missing the hat" (not heart). Holden reminds him of Miller.

Watching this show through again is so damned rewarding, because you realize that every single line of dialogue is foreshadowing.
