2022-04-07 03:54:05 +0000 UTCI saw this comment somewhere and wanted to share with you because is so true and everyone needs to understand that: The thing people forgot or just don't want to accept, is that Eren was screaming for help, in finding an alternate solution ever since he kissed Historia's hand. He waited for so long cause its not like he wanted Rumbling to begin with. It's because he waited till a single one proposed a viable solution, last season he asked Armin if theres other options while they were practice shooting after capturing first Marleyan fleet, He asked and told Hange give me an alternate solution when he was in a cell, we can see how frustrated and helpless he feels knowing the future while finding an alternative solution to stop it, they talked about peace talks as an option, he ended up trusting them and waited till that moment, and he then knew, peace was never an option in the current system. Peace talks was not an option if not everyone is willing to. And considering he sees the future, his question to Mikasa was both a confirmation that what his future self did was happening as what he saw and to have reasons to see if the future can be changed. No one was able to give this young adult a concrete answer, solution, alternative. He knows what he's doing is wrong. From the opening and ending of the season: "I never wanted to grab the knife" "This world is cruel but i still love you" "Even if i sacrfice everything, i will protect you" "Don't doubt if its a mistake, correctnes means believing in yourself"

2022-04-06 14:52:33 +0000 UTCinstead of rewatching i highly highly recommend rereading the manga, wit cut out a lot and in general i just think the manga art style is so good. they rlly made eren and mikasa social distance this episode lmao, in the manga the intent is a little bit more clear.. i really recommend you guys watch nana. it's slice of life but done so well about young adults, you two would love it imo, and it's a change of pace from all the shounen

Can't wait to see your reactions to the ending. Also, Lola, if you like tragic stories with fantastic character writing, you should read Berserk. It has an anime from 1997 but it only covers a fraction of the story, but the manga is incredible. Best artwork and characters that you could possibly want.

Tbh i'm not at all surprised to hear you say that, as you're about 10 episodes away from the arc that imo starts unpicking the shounen formula. HxH is always something I'm hesitant about recommending precisely because the first two arcs do a really bad job at highlighting what the show will become. But think L+M will absolutely adore the boys, and it'd be great as a replacement to FMAB once they're done with it. Vinland saga in the meantime would help fill the void AOT will have left them with, as it's like Vikings mixed with AOT. But think they're only doing one anime at a time which is fair enough.

Also: I would have loved to recommend you the Part 2 trailer of Cat Falcon, because it passes perfectly as a Part 3 trailer. Unfortunately, this spoils extremely hard the first 10 minutes of the next episode.

I watched approximately 30 episodes of HxH and took a long hiatus, I might continue in the future, but frankly so far it's been a generic shounen and nothing more

However you're bang on the money that the Soprano's is top tier. Such a shame they've already seen Mad Men as that's another A+ show that'd be great to see them react to.

Now all these other weebs are recommending one mediocre anime after another (spoiler alert: there aren't any anime series as good as AoT, seethe and cope), I'm gonna give you a REAL suggestion: The Sopranos. It's THE best show ever made, just sayin. You have to give it a try at some point. I know it might irk you, you might think it's some ordinary mob show and if you're not into that sort of thing it might look unappealing (I know the feeling because back in the day I didn't like mob movies as well and this show looked so boring to me), but it's sooo much more than that. In fact the gangster stuff is pretty secondary. It's a revolutionary show and probably the first show that had an anti-hero as its main character. It paved the way for shows like BrBa. Even Bryan Cranston said that without Tony Soprano, there wouldn't be Walter White. It's more psychology oriented. If you wanna go through classics, this has to be on your watchlist. Also there are so little reactions for it out there, it would be a gem for Sopranos fans and a great ride with your analytical minds tbh

He saw Sasha die in a future memory saw himself beating up armin and saw himself destroying the world. The kid is a slave to his future self and he saw all of this the moment he kissed historias hand. He fights for freedom more than anyone else ,but ironically he is the least free of them all.

Yeeeeeessss, I know what you guys will say, "it's a popular show, the animation is the only thing thats good about it" etc etc I truly do think they'll love DS because of the characters (LM will LOVE Tanjiro and Nezuko), it has a simple story, not every story needs to be complex like AOT. That's just my opinion, I hope they do watch Demon Slayer
