GRRM made a comment about Daeron, I think he said that Daeron does exist but he is in Oldtown. Probably won't see him until season 2, but it would be cool if they at least mentioned him

2022-10-12 18:14:17 +0000 UTC1. Viserys was high as a kite when he said “my only child” he could have thought it was a different point in time for all we know. 2. Viserys wasn’t all that great to Rhaenyra for the first half of her life, always over looking her when Aemma was pregnant, which was all the time. 3. Just because Alicent is unhappy in her marriage, doesn’t mean she still can’t bring her children up to be decent human beings. As you said, she’s a victim of rape, so it’s really bad of her to keep paying off all her sons victims and not giving him and repercussions for his actions. She’s not a 15 year old child any more. If she values “decency” so much as she kept banging on about, she should have done something about her son before now.

2022-10-12 05:31:14 +0000 UTCas fellow "we hate bad parents" i hope you dive in viserys comment of 'my only child' a bit in the discussion. because people blaming alicent for how their kids turned out when viserys has shown no love to those kids he had with a 15 year old kid is concerning and people are blaming the 15 year old maritally raped child is wild to me. other than that yes, this episode was an emotional roller coaster and paddy's performance was incredible and outstanding. so were olivia',s, emma's and ewan's in my opinion, but yeah, this was specially paddy's episode.

Another performance I really liked this episode was by Olivia Cooke (Alicent). She manages to convey a lot of nuance and conflicting emotions just with her facial expressions. I'm also extremely happy with the new Aemond actor. His body language during the dinner scene was just perfect. While everyone was enjoying themselves he was just scanning the room with his smug smile while his entire body was perfectly upright and tense like he was ready to strike at any moment.

He will have serious competition from Bob Odenkirk at the Emmy's (assuming he doesn't get credited as supporting cast), but I really hope he gets the nod at least. You know the actor was amazing when even the author says he improved upon the written character. And now his watch has ended :'(
