2022-11-10 01:36:33 +0000 UTCit's funny because while I enjoyed severance all throughout, I've seen people say the exact same thing you're saying about Mr. robot season two about severance. They say they gave 3 episodes and dropped it. It's all a matter of opinion at the end of the day, Mr. robot is in my top 10 shows all time and I never once thought about dropping it, and I've watched it weekly since the very first episode.

I never see a reason to power through a boring show to get to the good parts when there are other shows I have yet to see that are supposedly good the whole way through. Severence had me interested from only a few minutes in and never let go. I think 3-5 episodes is a fair chance. I had made it through season 1 of Mr Robot though because of so many recommendations. With L&M reacting though I'll watch the whole show, maybe it will grow on me.

I wasn't even holding out hope for Mr Robot after so long but I saw it and instantly renewed my membership. I was a patron in the AOT + Arcane days and was gonna join again when AOT came back -- wasn't expecting this at all. So excited. I know Melina said she tried watching it at some point and I'm hoping the time away + watching together will make it a lot better. I think you guys will really enjoy it. Not to mention Vinland Saga too! You have such a great lineup of shows right now. Stacked, too. I hope it's not too overwhelming because you have something for almost every day lol.

2022-11-08 21:51:12 +0000 UTCThey are good and entertaining but there are better shows that they haven't seen, especially one that isn't as long as Hunter X Hunter giving more people a chance at seeing their favorite shows. I say that as someone who is current on the HxH manga and watched quite a bit of fan made deep dive content on Youtube because I enjoy the story and world but it's just too long with better shorter options being available. There are 12 and 24 episode series where every episode is a banger. The shows I want them to react to would never win a poll let alone even be put on it in the first place so I don't have a dog in this race. I can't imagine suggesting Parasite the Maximum to anyone before Berserk (1997), Ghost in the Shell: SAC, Land of the Lustrous, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Ping Pong: The Animation I never expect to see those on the poll sadly, also an example of multiple shows that can all be watched in the same time frame spent watching HxH.

2022-11-08 20:21:37 +0000 UTCVinland Saga is coming already today? Great. I love the show, while it's something completely different from the anime you've seen so far. Also, I want to mention that the manga started in 2005. So if some scenes make you think, "I know this from Vikings or other shows", Vinland Saga did it before them. One thing I would have liked somehow, but it's completely unrealistic: people of different tribes should speak their own language (Vikings Norwegian, English English, ...). That would have been kind of cool. But then you couldn't have used Japanese dubbing actors, which would have been a huge downgrade and probably wouldn't have gone down well in Japan either. But that's always a problem when a series focuses on many peoples with different languages.
