Yep, Back to the Future Part II is Elliot's favorite movie. I like the idiosyncrasy of it being specifically the second one haha. He won't do with a basic choice

The first time I watched it I didn't know much about politics, and let alone class. So it's cool seeing people watch this at this point in time and fully appreciate what the show is saying

At least until you're through the first season. 2 - There's extra scenes in the season finales, and in one premier, after the credits. Luckily the credits are pretty short so you shouldn't have to skip through them, I think just wait a few seconds and they'll show up. The scenes are usually pretty important so make sure you don't miss them. And 3 - AHHH SO EXCITED. This is gonna be a great ride, you guys. And I can't wait to hear your discussions on the themes

I could see her getting visibly emotional over Mr. Robot's speech about wealth inequality and the redistribution plan that fsociety had in store and I'm right there with you. I've always loved how bold and based this show was, in addition to it being brilliantly filmed, cleverly lit, and uniquely written. It kinda gives a realistically hopeful vibe, one that's sorely lacking in this current day and age. I originally subscribed here because of both of your awesome sociopolitical ideals during The Expanse reactions and I similarly cannot wait for more!!!

2022-11-11 00:19:43 +0000 UTCIts a great mystery/drama/hacking show, but it also does a really good job of representing some difficult mental illness (major depression, PTSD, dissociative disorder and others) in a very nuanced and sympathetic way. It can be crushingly sad at times, but at least in part because it's such a real feeling representation of very real issues.

2022-11-11 00:07:47 +0000 UTCSo a friend in the Cyber Security industry knows the guy that wrote a lot of the code for the show. It's not perfect but by far the most accurate hacking representation around, and most of the code they show is at least plausible.
