The ones who committed suicide that the E Co vet was talking about in the beginning couldn't enlist at all. A person who is 4F has some disqualifying factor that means they cannot join the military at all. Typically it is a medical or mental health issue that would make them unable to perform their duties as a servicemember, but it can also be because of some crime they committed. Regarding the E Co NCOs (sergeants) being shot for turning in their stripes, the UCMJ (United States Code of Military Justice) prescribes execution by firing squad as an acceptable method of punishment for desertion, sedition, or severe insubordination during a time of war. It is no longer used, but I believe it is still in the code.

2022-11-29 19:21:37 +0000 UTCi've watched friends and while it's not my favourite sitcom it's still pretty iconic. but yeah, when i think of courtney i definitely think of gale first because i adore the scream franchise. my favourite slasher franchise for sure and gale is an iconic character. still love monica though.

2022-11-29 06:58:38 +0000 UTCAfter finishing Band of Brothers, I strongly recommend watching the documentaty on Easy Company called "we stand along together". It is a sibling production but the same production company at HBO meant to be watched after Band of Brothers. It's fantastic.

Likewise when I see Courtney Cox (Monica, I think?), I think of Gale Weathers, the rude reporter from the Scream franchise.

2022-11-29 01:29:40 +0000 UTCThis show was something I used to watch on VHS whenever I visited my grandfather when I was younger. It was one of the only videos he had, he was a veteran of WW2 as well, and he let me watch it even though I was only like 8. I don't think he ever actually watched it with me, in hindsight I don't think he could watch it, he just let me watch it everytime. The opening credits always makes me so sad now cause it reminds me of him.
