The “everyone is a slave to something” line is originally from this series but was used by AOTs author as well. The manga authors are both fans of each others work. AoT came out in 2009 but Vinland, however, came out in 2005. It just didn’t get an anime adaptation until 2019.

2022-12-04 03:20:18 +0000 UTClook, i don't know how long you plan on keep doing reactions (i hope many, many years) but i hope at least until this whole maga gets animated because there's some parts of the manga i'd love to see you react that won't be animated for years. ngl, i think this have the pontential to go into your top 10 shows once you watch more and i'm really exited to see you react to it. not to shit on other reactors, but i think you're one of the few that don't get exited when you see thorfinn fighting because you get that it's actually sad. it's not meant to be watched as a hype moment of a badass character and some people just want to watch him fight because he's good at it.

2022-12-04 01:30:00 +0000 UTCBefore listening the discussion after the reaction just wanted to say the i believe the one who said "everyone is a slave to something" was kenny in aot in that monologue he had before dying. i believe he was talking with levi. its's been a while since i watched that season of aot, so i may be miskaten. about this episode, i must say i loved it. i only watched the show once and then i read the manga, so i don't remember much about specific episodes like in fmab, korra or avatar, shows that i've rewatched numerous times. i liked it way more that i thought i would when i started the full. this is such a good show and the messages it has are so powerful (despite what certain person in the comments always mentions).
