In real history Prince Canute was considered a very beautiful man with fair features, except for his prominent hooked nose. His upbringing was left pretty undocumented in history (by modern standards at least) so it’s so cool that the show uses that to its advantage to put him into the plot. Obviously the show isn’t 100% accurate, it is a SAGA after all, so the violence and feats of the characters are extremely exaggerated like they would be in real Viking Sagas. But wow was I pleasantly surprised to see how much it actually tried to pay respect to the general history of the setting.
