Albert Blithe also served in Korea and got bronze and silver stars for bravery in action.

Yes, this show is amazing, or at least what i've watched so far, which is up till the 4th episode. but as good as it is it's also reallt draining to watch. when i finish the episodes i feel like making myself a burrito on my blanket and just stare at the ceiling. really happy to hear that that was a mistake and blithe actually lived longer. milena almost bursting into tears at random moments... really relatable ngl, this had me constantly teary eyed and now i know to have my tissues close when i play an episode. probably will watch the 5th tomorrow or on monday, i need to recover a bit before continuing. by the way, the actor who played blithe did an exellent job. ps: that scene of the tank running over a person was horrific to watch.

This series is amazing and I think everyone should watch it at least once.

I think this is my favorite episode because it contrasts the horrifying action with pathos and moments of respite. however i will never forget THAT ONE EPISODE in the back half of the season, literally made me thankful to be born in this timeline

I also must say: if you're teary-eyed over this episode I feel both excited and yet very uneasy about how you're gonna react to the second half of the series. Every episode is a masterpiece in its own right in my opinion, but there are several episodes that just hit you on a different level.

Yeah, as it was mentioned already - Blithe actually recovered and even served in the Korean War afterwards. To be fair, it's not really the show's fault. Stephen Ambrose (upon whose book this series was based on) also thought Blithe died. The reason for that is because one of Easy soldiers told Ambrose that when the war ended he contacted the hospital Blithe was in & one of the nurses incorrectly said that Blithe had passed away. That information obviously spread among the Easy veterans so everybody just thought he was dead. The fact that Blithe never attended any Easy reunions afterwards kind of confirmed that to them. Ambrose also received information from other Easy vets that they had attended Blithe's funeral in 1948. But it turned out to be a completely different Blithe from a completely different Company. In reality, as Blithe's family later said, he was just moved to another hospital and the nurse was unaware of that, and that's what started all the confusion. So, yeah, both Ambrose and all the vets he interviewed were so convinced Blithe died in 1948 that the researchers for the show didn't find it necessary to verify it, and you can't really blame them.

Waitaminute. Lola was born in 1915? Talk about aging gracefully...

i really want to watch this but i already have a headache and all the gunshots and camera movements would just make it worse. i made the mistake to watch two episodes of this back to back. never again. this show is devastating, one episode every few days is all i can handle. i watched eps 3 and 4 together and it was too much for me.

Yes, one of the very few errors the show made

Dante

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I had read that they actually got it wrong with Albert Blithe and he survived his wounds and didn't die until 1967. I think it was an error of the show writers
