You mean Arjun? I can't get past how different he is so the whole thing takes me out. Why did they pick an actor that's like 20 years younger than the original (and his supposed wife) looks totally different, and doesn't even have an accent anymore?

2022-06-23 23:18:46 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, SyFy canceling the show wound up with them losing a couple actors to other jobs before Amazon picked up the show. It's such a wonderful thing that the core cast had such faith in the show that they not only stuck it out, but played a major part in the push to get it back again rather than find other work. Even more than just politicking to get it back, a bunch of them put their own money into it by becoming producers of the show, and even on occasion directing episodes. Dominique in particular has credited The Expanse with being what empowered her to find what she wants her role in the business to be, beyond just acting.

If you are familiar with Spanish history, Christopher Columbus, sent to find riches in the New World, was given a "Royal Charter" by King and Queen Ferdinand and Isabella to take possession of those riches. Murtry's employer is called "Royal Charter Energy." The riches would be the lithium that the belters have found. This is about money.
