About the belters' plans to blow up the landing, there are some logistics on why they decided to do it. The show doesn't go into much detail, but the short of it is that they are living at the limit of their supplies, but once they deliver the lithium in Sol system, they'll have more resources to fight back the RCE people's claim on the planet. They know possession is 9/10ths of the law, so if they delay the RCE from having a foothold in the planet long enough, gives them a leg up. It is a desperate plan, but it has its reasons.

After you finish the show, Keon Alexander (the actor who plays Marco) is an absolute must follow on twitter. He's such a goddamned troll in all the best ways possible, but his tweets are full of spoilers so don't look at it yet. His twitter spats with NASA and ESA are almost as good as his constant poking at Cara Gee (Camina Drummer)

Holden actually does have the authority in this situation. Murtry took charge because he's the highest ranking RCE person left alive, but Holden was sent there directly by Chrisjen. The UN granted RCE their charter. They can take it away. That's why he thinks killing Amos would be too much trouble. That would be killing the government's extremely handsome diplomat. That's harder to explain than killing terrorists who were planning another attack.
Outside of that, Murtry feels like he's untouchable. The Belters aren't supposed to be on the planet, his soldiers are afraid to challenge their psycho boss (or too loyal to him like Chandra Wei), and the RCE scientists are afraid to challenge the people waving guns around. Even if the scientists see this is wrong, they're not the ones suffering under his boot, so they care less. If they did somehow get communications out to RCE and RCE actually did something about it (Elvi seems to think they would), it would take hours to send orders back to the planet and months to send a physical team out there to take control. It doesn't take much to seize power when you're so far away from the people who can hold you accountable. And there's a good chance people way back on Earth will believe him over Belters if he says he was just trying to keep order.

Drummer & Ashford are the best duo. Keon as Marcos is perfect. They are the best parts of this season for me

Marco Inaros has that gift of swaying people with his speech.
Glad you guys are enjoying it so far.

I can’t wait to see how their perception of belters would change over this season and the next.

Always love your reactions and comments. You two pick up a lot more than most reactors do upon first watch (and more than I did). Your analysis of the characters is spot on, and speaks well of how great the writers were in creating them...and the actors in portraying them. As an aside, it's obvious that you're really going to enjoy the rest of the series.
