its always interesting to me to see people's first anime and how it effects their view of the medium going foreword. my first anime were definitely older shows, inuyasha and fruits basket, as well as stuffed target more at children, especially precure. loved it a decade ago, love it now.

Since this episode and the last has him giving all kinds of advice and eventually shattering childish delusions, it makes him seem normal in a world full of crazies. I figured they'd say something like "Reigen never really believed in psychic powers, he believed in Mob" so just the idea that he didn't believe in them at all would work like his earlier joke about Dimple "he's too weak for me to notice" Thinking back it would've been a little cynical, so the direction they went with is okay too.

I mean if they like this 1st season so much they’re gonna love season 2 which I think is far better.

Season 2 has 13 eps btw (excluding 1 OVA that I personally haven't watched). I think Mob being comedy heavy (if not the main genre) allows it to be more unpredictable. Mob is unique with the amount of comedy (or gags), action, drama, and typical shounen stuff it combines, I think. And maybe the mangaka has a unique skill at being unpredictable. It's fun to see you not be able to predict things though, which you usually did with AoT lol

The show is a satire. It's what would happen if a typical superhero/supernatural tv show plot meets basic common sense.

I agree that mob psycho 100 do have kind of a slow beginning since the the whole overarching story with mob’s emotions and the claw organisation take some time to come along and the first episodes are kind of mini adventures that each fit into one episode but I’m glad that you two ended up loving this first season, especially since, imo, the second one is even better ! Regarding your questions on the third season, It will be the last one and it is scheduled to be broadcast in October ! So with one episode per week, you’ll finish the second season when the third will be about to come out !
