2023-05-13 11:56:30 +0000 UTCPart of the reason I love hxh is the fact Togashi is so unique in the way he writes. He doesn't tend to plan things too far in advance and writes the show as he goes. There are so many occasions where you think you know where he's going before he swerves you in another direction.

I wonder if it was just a meta joke about the big tournament arc being completely ignored by the protagonists or if Togashi actually has plans for it. My heart says it will happen but my brain knows better... Also It's not so much that Nen made Gon act like that. Gon always acted like that. It's just now he can act like that with magic powers.
