2022-12-24 17:17:44 +0000 UTCI feel like Evangelion falls under that classic "must watch" umbrella other anime like Cowboy Bebop and Death Note do. Just such an influential and prolific series, and totally unlike anything they've seen before. If any pair of reactors is patient, insightful and empathetic enough for Shinji's struggle then it'd be these two for sure.

2022-12-24 16:25:29 +0000 UTCI can't stop recommending Monster, (finished, 74 ep). although the HXH manga is not finished, the anime has an ending with a closure (148 ep 😅) and also March comes in like a lion (in japanese sangatsu no lion) (44 ep) this last one is very soft ✨

2022-12-24 15:43:00 +0000 UTCWhat are your thoughts on tackling a more esoteric anime? Paranoia Agent, Ergo Proxy, and Neon-Genesis Evangelion are all great candidates. They might not elicit instant reactions as their plots are not that easy to understand on a first watch but expect spending hours trying to dissect the meaning of each episode.

2022-12-23 17:48:06 +0000 UTCIf you wanted something more lighthearted/touching Spy Family (1 season 24ep.) or Kaguya-Sama (3 seasons 36 ep.) are both great shows with extremely endearing characters. If you want something more serious and complex with an extremely compelling plot and cast of characters, Re-Zero (2 seasons around 40 ep.) is a fantastic anime, but it can get QUITE heavy at times.

2022-12-23 17:40:26 +0000 UTCspoilers// the show explicitly showing us a 16 year old getting into bed with a woman in her mid 20's and almost getting it on is sort of different from your average dark action show 😭 csm is one of my favourite storylines ever and I'd watch their reaction to it if they decide to make one but i also wouldn't be surprised if it makes them really uncomfortable is all I'm saying.
