agree with Isaac and Dante, without them some obscure character/moment from ages ago might get forgotten. Sam put them there as a gentle nudge to be like "hey remember this small thing?"

Unlike other shows where the recaps might be thrown together by the network Esmail actually created the recaps with purpose and intent. I think they are well worth watching.

Definitely should skip recaps, they're meant for people who watch them once a week and forget about the show in between, not for people who spend hours talking and theorizing together while watching the episode again while you edit. Not only does it spoil what the episode will be about before you even watch but it narrows the discussions, you can see they figured out a few things based off the recaps alone.

That scene with the creepy woman at the nuclear regulatory commission place was indeed terrifying. The shot of the dark hallway and her saying 'my colleagues are in the other room'... is a perfect example of creating dread by letting the audience's imagination run wild. One of those 'liminal space' moments. Actually Mr Robot's cinematography, set pieces and imagery seems to be inspired a lot by that liminal space feel now that I think about it. Before there was even an online term for it

With the tape being left behind, Darlene mentions that she remembered placing it on a 'weird lamp' and posits that it fell behind it, which ended up being correct. So that's why they didn't see it when they wiped down the house, and why Cisco found it so quickly (he knew where to look)

Price and Whiteroses' dynamic is one of my fave parts of the series. Put two fantastic actors in a room and let them play off of and scheme against each other

Another great reaction, another great ep! The Philip Price / Whiterose scene is so iconic, love how much you loved it. Philip is honestly camp, such a messy drama queen lol. "I'm a mercenary, I don't play fair!" pops into my head sometimes

I was just rewatching 1x9 and in the graveyard scene you can see that Elliot's dad's birthday is also May 9th. Seems Mr robot gave himself quite a birthday present

"They can't prosecute her for being a bad liar." So, lying to the FBI in and of itself is a felony. Catching someone in a lie, even unrelated to the crime itself, is generally far easier to prove than having evidence of the core matter and it's then a bargaining point to force cooperation- "cooperate with us on what we want to know or we will prosecute you for this crime we know we can prove."

Next ep is one of my faves! It's honestly really impressive how unsettling they can make a scene of Angela trying to whisteblow. sadly i can't watch this until tomorrow night or even the day after tomorrow. i'm moving next week and i'm awfully busy and trying to spend all my spare time with my sister😭 good thing is that once i'm settled in the new city/house i will have time to catch up. staying away from the comment section to avoid spoilers.
