I read online she went back to studying to focus in the field of neurology if I'm not mistaken. Strange twist but definitely a respectable outlet for skill up in. Hope she made some bank from the series to sustain those expenses of studying!

2023-01-19 08:10:26 +0000 UTC@Isaac, yes i often remember that about cisco lol, but yeah, he really saved darlene from going down the rabbit hole. i mean, i'd say right now the whole darlene/cisco/dom storyline is what has me hooked. don't get me wrong, i'm really curious about tyrell's whereabouts and who were those persons in the subway with angela, but right now i'm really hyped about that last scene and i'm so frustrated because i really want to watch the next, but if i watch the next i'm sure i'll just binge the rest of the show in a week and i'm really enjoying watching this with them.

2023-01-18 20:08:42 +0000 UTCfirst of all, fuck that song they put at the beginning, i almost dropped my mug of hot chocolate on my laptop, luckily i only dropped a little on my hoddie. what a fucking episode tbh. i saw angela and elliot's kiss coming and it was bound to happen at some point, so with everything that happened in this episode that didn't surpised me that much. i honestly didn't even thought about angela working with the fbi. i don't think that's happening but now that you mentioned it i can't stop thinking about it. watching this only twice a week with you is TORTURE. you cannot imagine the ammount of restrain i have for not clicking the "next episode" thing. darlene's story broke my heart. imagine how bad a 5 year old kid must feel to be happy to be kidnapped and be sad she was sent home again. i fucking hate their parents andi i'm terrified for what else could be revealed about their abuse towards their kids. i agree with what you said about cisco and darlene. if he wasn't there darlene would have definetly crossed another line and now that he's dead, because i asume the blood on dom's face was his and he's definetly not surviving this season, i'm terrified of what darlene is capable of without anyone making her see that sometimes she doesn't make the best decisions. i'm really exited for the next couple of episodes and see what the fuck is going on with tyrell and joanna. also, i get the feeling that joanna is not going to live for long... idk, i feel like tyrell is going to get rid of her now that he's been without her breathing on his neck for a while.

2023-01-18 09:38:45 +0000 UTCThere's a lot of focus on the Father, but not enough on the Mother in my opinion - we've seen how she reacts when one of her children visit her now. Also, Darlene refusing to visit her mother after Elliot was released from jail. We also know that Darlene has regular panic attacks, and in the flashback of Elliot and Darlene first creating fsociety Elliot's first question to Darlene is always in regards to her panic attacks / wellbeing. Darlene also felt comfort when another woman kidnapped her, it brought her a sense of safety - another mother figure. Darlene also has the same type of rage outbursts as Elliot as well, carrying a lot of anger inside. This seems quite unexplored in the post reactions and the focus is always redirected on the father which I find interesting.

One of many great scenes in the show where the writing, cinematography and editing all work so well together to create an incredibly immersive and almost transcendent environment

So Elliot isn't just burning the files onto them and writing artist/songs on there as a disguise. If someone tried to play the CD they wouldn't have access to the files. Cmon, Elliot is way more careful than that

2023-01-18 05:08:20 +0000 UTCThe Director of the FBI that they mention a few times is Director Comey, and that is a politically appointed position that is in charge of the entire Bureau. In theory it is supposed to be apolitical, but realistically that position does tend to be influenced by political pressure and sometimes makes decisions trying to be politically/publicly "for the best" even at the expense of individual investigations. Director Comey was really the director of the FBI at the time, and the year after this season he ends up being VERY controversial for a decision he made during the presidential election that may have helped Trump win by hurting his opponent. So... some of us would probably agree with you about the real Comey making some bad decisions just like the one in the show may have.
