Band of Brothers Episode 8 Full Reaction

Comments

Good call by Winters. The actor who played the new young lieutenant (James) (recent grad of West Point) is Tom Hanks' son.

Clay F

I think it better go in completely blind and caught off guard,

Clay F

Works for some people but we definitely don’t want LM going into that episode caught off guard. It’s going to rough as it is we don’t need it to be any rougher for them.

Dante

Nah you don’t get it. We don’t really do that kind of stuff for other shows. It’s different for BoB. They absolutely needed the warnings. Nobody here wants them to go into that episode completely blind and caught off guard. I wouldn’t have even been opposed to telling them exactly what the episode is about it’s that serious, but nobody has done that.

Dante

All BoB reactors get a gentle warning about ep9 from the community, not just these 2. No one is ever truly prepared for what it actually shows. Think of it like us giving a trigger warning, which is something I think it would have if it was made today.

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

Oh, and I know this teasing or warning about future episodes comes from a place of good intentions (I mean, I hope so). I know people just want Milena and Lola to not be a sobbing mess and experience the show without "harm", because they have shown to really care and to be really affected by the show... but, why does it matter if they become a sobbing mess? It would've happen anyways because they were going to watch the show anyways, if not for the channel, in their spare time. Crying strongly is not some disease or something we need to be protected of... in a lot of cases it's even a relief.

Felipe Aravena

I'm not trying to be offensive here, but why are BoB's fans like this? Don't warn them or prepare them for future episodes, don't talk about future episodes, even if it's "just" the emotions those episodes could provoke. Reactions channels work best when the reaction is 100% blind, that means watching the show or movie like it was intended: not knowing anything but what you are watching currently. If they cry or they get "destroyed" by the episode, that's fine, crying and being shocked by something you watch is normal, especially if you have empathy (as do Milena and Lola), if they do get too emotionally wrecked you can THEN send them love and support and talk about the episode and the experience of watching it, but not BEFORE, because it ruins the experience. I don't know why this has to be reminded time and time again in reactions channels. I've been seeing reactions to BoB since the first reaction to the show was uploaded in Youtube like 5 years ago, by Juliette Reacts, and I ALWAYS see people not understanding how a reaction channel works and warning or teasing about future episodes and events, it's honestly frustrating and annoying. Like, the whole point of watching reaction channels is seeing the people REACTING, showing emotion and investment... let them cry, laugh, be angry, be surprised, etc... Anyways, tl;dr: don't ruin the experience, even if with something that to you seems little. (sorry if i made mistakes, english is not my native language)

Major Winters is what every leader should aspire to be. The very definition of servant leadership.

BobJ

Im glad i watched before seeing these comments lol i think being caught off guard is what makes it rougher. I’ve consumed alot of ww2 content so i think that helped me

Jonathan baez

great episode, with some hope at the end

T0ast

Damn, I'm watching this show for the first time along with them, and all of these comments are getting me real worried for the next episode. Granted, I have been dealing with the show better than they have, y'all are still freaking me out lol.

Bryce

Please be kind to yourselves and bring tissues before watching the next episode.

Andrew

You guys are such real ones for hanging in there with this show, even if it's hard -- it sounds weird but it's honestly very mature of you. Big respect

Patrick Boyda

Over the years I know you've gotten a multitude of comments saying "prepare for the next episode, it's going to be tough". But, this time, genuinely, please do look after yourselves. It's by far the toughest episode of the series, and one of the most difficult to watch episodes of television in general. I know it's going to be hard going for you two given your reaction to the series thus far, so again, be prepared and look after yourselves.

TeaDrinker3000

I also recommend watching We Stand Alone Together after the finale, reaction or not!

Dante

I'm surprised by how emotional they got for this one. I've always though this episode was one of the easiest ones to watch. The next one is gonna be brutal for them.

GV

The next episode is equal to number 7 as the toughest episodes to watch, but for different reasons. Great episode, but be prepared. Also, what you were saying at the beginning about them revealing who the people are in the interviews...they do reveal at the end. However, there is also a really great documentary that came out along with the series, which Is where are all those interview clips come from. The documentary is called "We Stand Alone Together" and its on HBO as well. Its not violent or anything, they are just talking. It really helps though after watching the series and leave you better off.

GV

True, that's why I said "as possible" lol

Dante

I don’t think you can be mentally prepared. That’s kind of the point. It’s going to be bad. I’m a bit of nervous for them lol

Wanda Did Nothing Wrong

Surely they've been warned enough and will be as mentally prepared as possible for the next episode, right???

Dante
