How do they STILL not recognize Waylon (Steve Earle) lol

Dk

Did I miss the review?

PamRenea

He does literally one good thing and you expect them to fall over praising him. That's what he should do. Being a decent human being should be expected. Entirely ignoring prez. Most of the characters in the show are black. Most of the white characters are police. It isn't surprising few of them are respectable.

jehh jeggg

It's an outrage! It's a scandal!

HgPt

Everything is rarely on time my g. You should know this by now

Dante

HxH fans assemble

Man Themanbro

Ammar gayal

Harfie

"I feel old" i say to myself as i wait patiently for hxh reaction

It's not surprising, dude.

Aj

How else could you end this brilliant season than with a shot of a neighbourhood crossroads?

Mike

Steve Earle! His song "Feel Alright" was the coda for Season 2. And he just might have another musical appearance coming up next season...

Mike

"if I make it to the other side I win? I get to be top dog" Bodie "Nah, pawns get capped quick, they be out of the game early" Dee "Unless theyre some smart-ass pawns" Bodie I just rewatched that scene again and got full body chills

HenryM

Landsman has been incompetent, negligent, lazy, etc. throughout the entire show, but he will always have my respect for saving Bub’s life and getting him help.

NovB13

That's so cool! And what a nice mini story arc for her.

Mike Miner

The absolute best

Karabo

The way they came at Bodie showed that he was a pawn. Then you think back to D and how much he was trying to school Bodie on the truth behind "The Game" that they all play but Bodie thought he could be a smart ass pawn and end up like Stringer Bell or someone but in the end this is all he got from The Game hahaha cruel.

Karabo

love the last shot ~ did you know plating trees and greenery reduces crime?! there's a few studies i read proving a 10% increase in green spaces and trees resulted in a 10% decrease in crime

Ben G

Your link didn't link properly my guy

TeaDrinker3000

It is. I always appreciated that as a sort of positive outcome among the other depressing storylines.

Craig Manning

Hahaa itd be cool to discuss our favorite shows over a few drinks. All I can do for now is send all y'all virtual hugs

HenryM

We all need a group hug at this point 😭😭😭 LM Patrons meet-up when πŸ˜…

TeaDrinker3000

I didn't cry the first time I watched this, but when Lola broke down for Bodie I just lost it man. That scene with McNulty and him talking about how "the game" is meaningless, how he feels like a pawn reminded me all the way back to season one, to Dee teaching these kids how chess is played. In the end Bodie went out like a pawn, standing his ground. I think the most tragic part is how Jimmy, Lola's "happy place" throughout this season, is the reason Bodie ended up like this

HenryM

I'd say all us Patrons fly out to Serbia and give Lola the biggest hug and apologise to her for making her watch this in the first place, it's the least we can do.

TeaDrinker3000

Where am I complaining? It's not my place to tell them what characters they should like or dislike. But they are hypocritical. It is what it is, buddy boy. The only white character they praise and compliment IS McNulty lol.

Lil Don075

Congratulations; you made it. While there are still some sad/bad/upsetting moments to come, you've made it through the most intense few episodes in the show. This season is just ridiculously good. And what makes it so, SO fantastic is the outstanding child actors. Every one of them was amazing. Michael and Dukie are standouts, but all the kids are unbelievably good. It's so risky to put your show on the backs of child actors, but the risk paid of with these boys.

Chris Truex

Your first complaint was that they don’t make positive comments about someone who is white or a cop, and now the caveat is that they have to be a fat white cop? So you have to eliminate Prez, Mcnulty, and Frank Sabotka (and even Rawls when they discussed his decent gesture to McNulty in S1) from the conversation because though they might be white, or cops, or fat, they don’t count because reasons. Talk about identity politics lol. Must be really easy to maintain your worldview when you can so easily and arbitrarily discount defeaters.

Random Random

"Who'd want to be this, that can be anything else they want?" What a scene, and what a line from Wee-Bey. As loyal a soldier as there ever was, as deep into the Game as you can get. And he still had enough wisdom to not only know his son wasn't built for this life, but to react with compassion rather than scorn.

Mike Conlin

i grew up with Bodie through my teen years and he is one of my all time favorite characters in any tv. and his death always hits hard and paired with yalls reaction, its just a complete heartbreak. and that look he gives Poot too, instead of running away just says so much in face.. I HATE IT! but i love it cuz its what makes the show great. also i never realized how long they linger on that last shot, giving you the nice contrast for Namond. from his life before to how calm his new life is. (after Donut drove away that is).. i always mention for you guys to try and celebrate he little wins. and since there wasnt much the last few Ep, thank goodness at least Bunny came through for a Win for Namond. and just FYI if you didnt remember Michael got that ring from the cop, who got it from Omar when he arrested him, Omar got it from Marlo at the poker game, Marlo got it from andre the convient store guy who owed him money.

RJ Dough

Oh yeah, my bad. He's a fat white cop, so don't expect any positive comments about Jay.

Lil Don075

"he's white and he's a cop" - so is Jimmy, who they regularly can't contain their affection for. How do ya'll distort your reality THIS much? Kinda impressive tbh.

Tom

The guy that goes in to see Bubbles is the one from the rehab place that gave the speech that first inspired Bubbles to get clean. Bubbles saw him again trying to drag his junkie nephew off the corner. So seeing him again for the first time in years was a sudden and unbearable reminder that he *didn't* get clean, and that failure is why (in his mind) Sherrod is dead. Knowing who he is makes that scene way more powerful.

Tom

Was that the judgmental nurse sitting with Cutty at the end? Never noticed it before, but that would be amazing.

Mike Miner

Yeah it is what it is. Bodie, Marlo, The Barksdales etc are the same shit. Sure, Marlo is more ruthless but they ALL would kill anyone if they got in the way of their business like it was shown in the first season. And I don't know why they (the writers, not LM) tried to make Carcetti's advisor come off like he wanted to make any change. The guy is one of the biggest POS in the show, all he cared about was his job.

Lil Don075

That final bodie/mcnulty scene is one of my favorite things ever.

cheech

Yeah, there is a lot of hypocrisy in their reactions in this show that is getting a bit insufferable so I wanted to point that one out

Shaun Eberle

He's white and he's a cop. Don't expect them to say anything positive about him.

Lil Don075

Watching this and Hereditary in the same few weeks must have been so rough

I think the reason they beat Bubs down so much is because they wanted to be shocking, they wanted people to be emotionally affected and see that Americans who are homeless are suffering in all of the worst ways possible (still wish we saw more female characters who were homeless but this has all been plenty horrifying) This season more than any other has a focus on the homelessness epidemic and the threat of homelessness The vacant homes that should be housing people are housing dead bodies (those bodies ending up in the school gym is so twisted and perfect) Currently in the US there are over 17 million vacant homes owned by corporations while we have over 580,000 people who are homeless Baltimore alone has 14,000(!) vacant homes and over 1,500 people who are homeless This is a great article about the history of Baltimore, it dives into why so many black denizens were displaced originally (also dives into the process of gentrification leading to housing in crime ridden areas with no good jobs leading to crime etc et https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/04/29/the-long-painful-and-repetitive-history-of-how-baltimore-became-baltimore/

And attack on titan when milena gets back? As clay davis would say, shiiiiiieeeettt

TeaDrinker3000

We got a movie yesterday and two episodes today. The day I decided to subscribe to this channel was a good day

HenryM

You hate on Landsman the entire series and then he literally saves the life one of your 'boys' *twice* (once via literal hanging and again by not sending him to prison). I really hope that isn't overlooked.

Shaun Eberle

Genuinely feel sorry for the girls with the opening scene. It's a very tough start.

Damien Fenton

Thank you for not only posting this the same day as The Bear, but for deciding to film your review on a different day instead of keeping it to just 30 minutes. It's really appreciated!❀️❀️
