It's weird you think abandoning a child isn't something that should inform an opinion. There could be a FMA:B situation but that doesn't mean they have no info. Spoilers: And Ging does suck, there's no FMA:B situation he probably just banged some super powerful human like creature and wasn't ready to be a father. So he dumped the kid with another person he abandoned (Mito). Yeah he doesn't owe his cousin anything but when someone who loves me and is always there for me, misses me and cries for me I'd feel like a real jerk if I never visited. Just because he's not anime evil villain who is destroying the world doesn't mean he's not a piece of crap.

I think they’re lovable dynamic fostered many magical moments stemming from their ability to enjoy an irrational idea strengthened by a passion for people shared between old friends, but it paints a potential future all people run into with enough time. They trust that the story will do right by them, because of stories that have done right by them, and they don’t understand how this story will give them something they didn’t know they wanted. It’s not irrational, it’s conditioned.

EDIT: I just realized that I hadn't finished watching your review cause I went to get food (thought I did until Henry pointed it out) but you seem to address my comments completely. Good stuff! Yeah exactly. I agree that Ging isn't a good father, but I personally wouldn't say yet whether he gives off bad vibes since we still lack enough info in that regard (at least what I consider to be enough). Yes, Mito gave her account of the situation, but it's still an outside perspective. I gotta wait till I meet the man himself. It's like never meeting Aang and only hearing that he wasn't a good father to Kaya and Bumi since he neglected them and spent time mostly with Tenzin. Some people just don't know how to be parents. Doesn't automatically make them bad people, as you've said. Edit 2: My initial comment said Lola may be "irrationally angry" and people got defensive loll, and at the end of the video, Lola herself admits that she might be irrationally angry and can't help herself. Love the fact that she's so self-aware! Anyway, this comment is totally pointless now since LM addressed it all it seems. Move along.

There is the matter that Ging didn't intend to permanently give up Gon until Mito got the courts involved. It's a small point, but I think it's a necessary one. It's mentioned in the manga & 1999 version multiple times, but it's not focused on here. The general idea of Ging is understood either way, I suppose

would agree cyberpunk dub with the slang/setting and all, but not the others. sub was incredible in YLIA all around and especially Okarin/Kurisu/Mayuri/Fayris had top notch japanese voice acting in Steins;Gate. the sub the way to go for those, of course everyone has their opinion but especially YLIA the sub brings out the atmosphere and doesnt distract from the music would love for them to react to that haha, they would have a fun time watching it for sure.

I’m so excited for the future arcs of this show. I’m sure you both will enjoy them. If your looking for shorter anime shows that are really good after Vinland saga is done then I recommend stuff like 1. Your lie in April (DUB) 2. Cyberpunk Egderunner’s (DUB) 3. Steins Gate (DUB) Or 4. Ranking of kings For the first 3 shows i watched them in both sub and dub and in my opinion the dubs were better, it’s one of those rare cases were the English voice acting was incredible and a little more impactful. For most anime’s I prefer the SUB except for those first 3 shows.
