If you think about it, Knuckle's power, if used properly has the potential to defeat any Nen user in the show but still remain constrained enough that it's not too over powered. Also, the mascot of his power is soooo cute. I also like the timer sound. I'm gonna find an APR plushy.

The complicated yet simple genius of it, how it ties to his character, and how once it’s explained and you fully grasp the stakes of APR, the ever-growing number becomes a countdown (count-up?) for the current fight, adding further tension the longer it goes! Everything great about Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is everything that I love about Nen as a power system in general

He doesn't like violence as a result and then created a nen ability that can remove other peoples body parts, specifically against people he doesn't like. Nen abilities increase with willpower and determination, so it's cool to see a disabled person be so powerful, if that was the intention of Togashi.

They could not skip Knuckle and Shoot nen's abilities explanation and how Illumi's education affects Killua during fights. If the pace were slow the girls would feel bored, they wouldn't feel like these episodes are lasting 5 minutes

Not much happened to further the plot SPECIFICALLY, but it's a necessary episode as the plot can only go forward later if you have an understanding of these aspects of the world. It isn't a plot episode, it's a world building episode. That... doesn't make a slow pace because you're constantly getting new information. That seems to be a misunderstanding that a lot of people have about the words "plot" and "pacing". Like TONS happened in this episode. I'm not really understanding how you think not much happened in this episode. A huge section of the plot hinges entirely on what happens in this episode.

2023-12-22 21:06:24 +0000 UTCIt's not too important going forward but Knuckle said that Gon's "Rock" takes up 2000 of Gon's total aura. Due to his emitter abilities being far less refined than his enhancer ones, his "paper" shot took 4000 aura to fire, yet only had an effective power of 500 aura as it was really inefficient. Absolute favourite thing about nen as a power system is just how much characterisation it manages to cram in just by knowing someone's ability. Knuckle's said already he's not keen on eradicating the ants without trying to understand them first, and his ability literally makes it so neither him nor his opponents take any physical damage from each other as long as the conditions are met.

But we also got further explanation on how Nen works, as well as seeing the effects of Killua's curse. So we got a decent amount of action, world building, and characterization (for both Killua and Illumi). As well as what you said: the explanation of how Knuckle's (and kinda Shoot's) ability works, and a bit of the King. It also had a lot of recap with Bisky. For people that don't really care about the small details of how Nen works, yes this episode was SUPER slow lol.

He might be one of the few characters in the show that could be considered physically disabled and comparable to a Paralympic athlete in that regard.

He puts some of his aura inside his opponent and charges interest, like with a bank loan, every 10 seconds. If you hit Knuckle, you repay some of the aura he lent you. If at any time, you owe Knuckle more aura than you have in your body, you go "Bankrupt" and your nen is sealed away.
