Fieren needing a certification to be a first class mage is exactly like living abroad for a decade only speaking English, and being requested a test result to show that you have at least A2.

Frieren is essentially a teenager in elf years, Kraft is in his early to mid twenties by comparison, based on traditional elf lifespans (could be different in this show, though probably not, they live very long) there's a scene in a future episode that provides a bit more context.

The outro is basically Himmel talking to Frieren. The lyrics match up to Himmel reaching out to Frieren and basically sending out his thoughts and feelings to her. The 2nd half of the song that currently isn't in the outro is Frieren responding to Himmel.

That's easily the most important part of the show, it gets overlooked all the time.
Honestly I haven't counted the berries but I'm convinced the amount of ice cream has decreased. The one Eisen had in the flashback was ginormous compared to the one Stark had a few episodes ago. And that bartender was shady as hell, he definitely gaslighted the poor boy into thinking that it got smaller because he grew up. Stark might have believed it but I ain't buying it 🤨
Also now that I think about it, wasn't the town having issues? It wouldn't be too far fetched to think that they had to cut down on the portion of the Jumbo Berry Special... I think.
With that said we definitely need a detailed video analysis about this.

I wonder if we could call her agnostic at this point yet.
But whether she believes in her or not, it's nice to see her not being closed off to gestures like praying to respect the dead, or choosing to try to believe in heaven for the sake of her friends, even though she quite doesn't believe it yet.

Hahah I think they will always see Fern and Stark as their kids or babies regardless of their age :P And I'm here for it!

Hahahah the irony of you saying "Stark this is your weather. Winter is coming!" and Stark being the first one to collapse to the winter soon after 🤣

You can honestly tell that Fern is growing up because she sees men and boys differently than before. As much as she looked at Kraft's upper body. It was also the first time she used “perv”. I still have to chuckle about how she took a closer look at Stark in episode 6 :D

The biggest discussion about the show is the Jumbo Berry Special. Is it really smaller? I think the number of berries is the same, but the amount of ice cream has decreased. Someone should do a detailed analysis.

The last two minutes in the discussion confirm for me that they're going to love this 6-7 episode episodic story arc :D

If we were like elves, I think after a while, we'd probably adapt to the losses we experience to some extent and accept it as part of our long life. Cause at the core of all of us, I think we all inherently understand that life must go on. So if we're still here and alive, we must go on living, accept the pain and loss as part of that journey and still seek new connections. It's hard to relate to an elf who can live for thousands of years, but I think that's probably the kind of conclusion we'd get to if we also lived that long, despite the many losses along the way.
Poor Fern was freezing! Frieren is such a blanket hog lol

Yeah I was thinking that Fern has to be at least eighteen or nineteen by now, with all the time that has passed. I like that the majority of the story is going to have her growing into an adult though, rather than just remaining a teenager.

We say kids when we talk about Fern and Stark but with these timeskips randomly thrown in time goes faster than you think. I got curious when you mentioned it so I went and checked. At the start of episode 3, Fern is 16, 27 years after the death of Himmel. At the middle of this episode, we're 28 years after Himmel, Fern is 17 and then we skip 6 months by the end. So she could be 18 already or pretty close. And Starks age is similar as said by himself in episode 7. These damn kids are growing up so fast I'm having seperation anxiety already.

Also fun fact: Kraft's VA is the one who played Zeke Jaeger

Frieren said it. She is unsure ifvthere is a Goddes or if heaven exists. She seemed like she is opened to the idea now after that flashback scene with Eisen

In case you didn't look it up and since its a new word.
Pious - Devoutly or very religious. It makes sense to call Fern a pious girl because she was raised by a priest and always prays
