U guys should put the penguin on the next tv show poll! It’s been one of the best shows I’ve seen in recent memory and s1 should be finished by the time u guys finish this show.

I'm worried, but we'll see. I think S1 was still very good even if S2 falls off a cliff or it gets cancelled (Apple TV are really good at this though, not like Netflix).

always funny when we get one of these, like yeah it's fairly normal for rich or hippie-ish folks to want a more 'natural' non-hospital birth, but not messy in their own homes, so there's lots of birthing retreats like this (but usually less spooky).

Harmony asked Milcheck to dispose of the book, he read it in the conference room before for fun, he left it and ran when Helly did her previous stunt, and forgot about it. I don't think it's that deep: from Harmony's perspective the book is dealt with, and Milcheck made a human error during a stressful crisis. Cobel definitely seems to have her own game though!

There is one truth behind every revolution: "There are more of us than there are of them". And so the few with power, the politicians passing laws over your body, or the oligarchs paying to cosplay as little kings, or the management of the corporations we're forced to work for to live, have an existential vested interest in making sure people don't realize that truth.
Lumen's choices with their severed floor seem strange and disorienting, but they make more sense if you view them as a form of "a few" trying to control "a many". If they didn't want any incidents, they should hire dozens of guards and run it like a prison, but they dont, because as Harmony says here: they want their prisoners to believe they are free, or that they have a chance at freedom, so they work hard and make the company profit... and, depressingly, it's "cost-effective". It's cheaper. You don't have to pay 100 cops' salaries if your prisoners police themselves.
Separating the departments, sowing distrust, staggering entries and exits, creating religion of individualism, forcing workers to compete, blocking communication... even the confusing layout of the building is designed to keep the workers working. As we see this episode, the more of Ricken's terrible book Mark reads, the closer he gets to realising the truth. Basically: it's hard for people to organize when they don't trust each other, can't find each other, don't even know how many departments there are, or think there will be horrible consequences (e.g "the handbook forbids", "the break room").

Yes, and behind the scenes it was very turbulent, there were a lot of problems with the writers' strike...but let's hope

let's think about this rationally for a second: We're analysis why there's goats on a tv show and how many 🤣

I don't understand the book either. The management seems to have completely forgotten about it. What's more, why do they allow them to meet other departments if they don't seem to want to? It almost seems as if Ms. Cobel is working against the system or wants to find out more about the Innies' behavior.

I'm so scared for season 2.. I honestly don't know how it can keep pace with the awesome levels of season 1. If they have a story to tell they must but if they are forced it will be terrible. I hope Ben Stiller is cooking from a place of passion

I love watching the girls dissect media.. It's so fun to hear their theories, how close or how ridiculously far their theories are.

I take it birthing retreats are uncommon in Serbia lol

You both missed one of the best parts of the episode. Mark S. as he rode down the elevator the day after Hellu hung herself. His expression made it clear that, to innie mark, a day hadn’t passed, it was as if he had just seen her hanging.

This season reminds me of Westworld s1, perfect. The problem is that sci-fi series tend to decline, let's hope that doesn't happen here

Just letting you guys know that the second last episode and the last episode work very well together. You will probably want to watch the finale as soon as you finish the second last episode. So you might want to consider doubling up that week.
