JUNG FOR THE WIN!!!!!

I love how this ep brings back some seeds the writer planted earlier in the series - how the dad said in ep3 being with an autistic person can sometimes feel lonely, how Young-woo got a whale moment in ep8 & completely focused on the case in the middle of a serious emotional talk with her dad, etc. These are things Young-woo does bc of the way her mind works & bc she is neurodivergent, & it may be difficult for someone who is neurotypical to understand. It's understandable for Jun-ho to be sad & frustrated, but as we saw in ep8, Young-woo's dad just learned to accept it & live with it. So maybe it's a matter of - will Jun-ho be able to?

Fun fact about this ep & ep13 ~ in the plane at the end (for the return flight), the voice singing the song is Park Eun-bin, the actress who plays Woo Young-woo. She sings a slower, sadder version of a fun, upbeat song Geurami & the hairy boss chef sang in the plane or in the car in ep 13! The song is about Jeju Island.

if you guys are up to do another romance drama please check out MAD FOR EACH OTHER on netflix, its a super fast watch like end of the f****** world only like 30 minute episodes each. it also talks about mental health like ITS OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY i think you guys would really like this well rounded drama!

This episode hurts my heart. I think Jun-ho had an idealized vision of what their relationship would be like. He's now faced with the fact that Young-woo's autism doesn't just mean she has cute little "quirks", but that there are very real struggles, both external and internal, that put pressure on their relationship. This paired with her lack of self-confidence as a person who can succeed in a romantic relationship make for a heartbreaking turning-point for them. :(

of all the kdrama breakups i've seen, this one is probably the most realistic and makes the most sense. young woo feels worried about being able to keep jun-ho happy but also there is just pressure on their relationship in general. this drama has shown that anytime anyone meets them, jun-ho has to a provide explanation that they're together. and sadly, he will always have to. no one asks why young woo is seeing jun-ho but everybody asks jun-ho why he's with her. people's first assumption is "he's volunteering" or "he's helping her", but never do they think that's she's his girlfriend. i can understand from her point of view, she may think it'll be exhausting for him to always have to fight for/defend their relationship.. even to his family. do u hear the sound of my heart breaking
