I agree, I thought they did a great job establishing that Tess was a caring and nice person. I probably would have done the same thing, I would never be able to live with myself if I just left someone to die. That truly was one of the big differences between her and AJ.

you guys should read this article i read after watching the movie. it discusses the title of the movie and some theories on what it could mean. (: so glad you guys watch this and enjoyed it! and i fully agree tess was dumb as fuck, like i was literally yelling at the tv when she was like "i need to go back and help him" i was like "BITCH NO HES A FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT AND YOU NEED TO GET THE FUCK OUT!!!" it drove me mad lmfaooo. although bill had a smaller part in this i absolutely loved his character was you truly didn;t know if he was a good person or not until his death. it made for such an interesting character. here's the link for the article! https://collider.com/barbarian-title-explained/#:~:text=The%20closest%20utterance%20of%20the,Detroit's%20economic%20and%20cultural%20abandonment.

Personally never really understood why people get so critical of horror characters who are curious or make decisions that don’t align with what someone would do in reality. For the most part, there would be no narrative moving forward if they acted just like people in real life. The Barbarian did well in setting up the moral compass of all the characters and the karmic ending without it being too obvious or in your face with the messaging. Interesting camera and audio work as well. Future of horror looking bright!
